How To Shop Online For Fireplaces, Stoves & Accessories

Authored By Katrina Dwight

Fireplaces and fireplace mantels are fast becoming a core feature in homes across the world as they add a real feature point to any formal or indeed casual living area. Funnily enough fireplaces have had a relatively short history, considering that fire itself has been around for hundreds of thousands of years.

Fireplaces only became common in 1367, when a gentleman while visiting in Rome, was dismayed at the fire pit in his room so he ordered his servants to build a chimney. They did so, adding his coat of arms above the two fireplace mantels. That fireplace is now part of history as ever since it has been the model of almost any room with a fireplace.

Not all fireplaces have mantels, of course. Most do however have either, a single shelf, a marble or tile surround, or a traditional wood carving. Accessories such as mantels, iron tools, guards and screens are an important decorative feature of fireplaces and can often set the tone of a room. And indeed the mantel itself has become a real focal point of rooms as they allow photos, antiques and family heirlooms to take pride of place within the room. Between the style of fireplace mantels, gas grills and wood burning stoves and their surrounds, you either define a room from the start or give it an entirely new look you'll enjoy for years.

Fireplaces, which can increase the value of your home, are more than ever the focal point of a room. The style of fireplace mantels and its décor, whether stone, marble or finely carved classic moulds sets the tone and character of your home. To enhance your fireplace you may opt to include classical or oriental rugs, antique furniture, and traditional elements. Then again, you might favours abstract paintings, art deco, or even a glass-screen.The choice is really up to you and is about personal choice. It ultimatly depends on how you want to use your fireplace within the room – as a feature or a backdrop.

Fireplaces can be purchased online from any number of internet shopping malls. Consistently browse online stores, looking for the best price, as they often update their prices. Many online stores include thumbnail sketches of rooms with fireplaces installed, so you can see what the installation looks like.

5 Ways To Improve Your Adsense Earnings

Authored By Hamant Keval

If webmasters want to monetize their websites, the great way to do it is through Adsense. There are lots of webmasters struggling hard to earn some good money a day through their sites. But then some of the geniuses of them are enjoying hundreds of dollars a day from Adsense ads on their websites. What makes these webmasters different from the other kind is that they are different and they think out of the box.

The ones who have been there and done it have quite some useful tips to help those who would want to venture into this field. Some of these tips have boosted quite a lot of earnings in the past and is continuously doing so.

Here are some 5 proven ways on how best to improve your Adsense earnings.

1. Concentrating on one format of Adsensead. The one format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). This same format have the tendency to result in higher CTR, or the click-through rates. Why choose this format out of the many you can use? Basically because the ads will look like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click these types of links. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Adsense but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.

2. Create a custom palette for your ads. Choose a color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background. The idea to patterning the colors is to make the Adsense look like it is part of the web pages. Again, This will result to more clicks from people visiting your site.

3. Remove the Adsense from the bottom pages of your site and put them at the top. Do not try to hide your Adsense. Put them in the place where people can see them quickly. You will be amazed how the difference between Adsense locations can make when you see your earnings.

4. Maintain links to relevant websites. If you think some sites are better off than the others, put your ads there and try to maintaining and managing them. If there is already lots of Adsense put into that certain site, put yours on top of all of them. That way visitor will see your ads first upon browsing into that site.

5. Try to automate the insertion of your Adsense code into the webpages using SSI (or server side included). Ask your web administrator if your server supports SSI or not. How do you do it? Just save your Adsense code in a text file, save it as adsense text, and upload it to the root directory of the web server. Then using SSI, call the code on other pages. This tip is a time saver especially for those who are using automatic page generators to generate pages on their website.

These are some of the tips that have worked well for some who want to generate hundreds and even thousands on their websites. It is important to know though that ads are displayed because it fits the interest of the people viewing them. So focusing on a specific topic should be your primary purpose because the displays will be especially targeted on a topic that persons will be viewing already.

Note also that there are many other Adsense sharing the same topic as you. It is best to think of making a good ad that will be somewhat different and unique than the ones already done. Every clickthrough that visitors make is a point for you so make every click count by making your Adsense something that people will definitely click on.

Tips given by those who have boosted their earnings are just guidelines they want to share with others. If they have somehow worked wonders to some, maybe it can work wonders for you too. Try them out into your ads and see the result it will bring.

If others have done it, there is nothing wrong trying it out for yourself.

10 Secret Ways Of Getting Your Website Listed on Google

Authored By William Nabaza of www.Nabaza.com

These ways of getting listed on google.com (tm) the quick and easy way are the fruits of my labor since I started way back in 1993 on the Internet. I should have sold these secrets to you and make a couple of bucks. But I value what God had said to me that if I give I will receive.. good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. So those are the terms when you use this article God will pay me for it.

So here are 10 secrets on how to get listed on google.com(tm).

1. Visit http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/ and add all your website sitemaps. Sitemap is like a building directory or content directory map of your website. In google sitemaps it works one directory at a time, without calling any outside urls other than your domain. You need to create separate sitemaps on each subdirectory, folder you have. Prioritize your root directory first. To be effective you need to have at least 100 .htm files on your root directory. Your sitemap must be in .xml (extended markup language)

2. Visit http://www.google.com/ig/ and add all your content, by clicking on "add content" on the top left. All content must be feeds in themselves and must be in .xml format too.

3. Visit http://www.google.com/addurl/ and add your url or websites addresses. Be sure it's a toplevel domain such as .COM, .NET, or .ORG.

4. Obtain a free orkut.com (tm) account. Orkut.com is free and can only be joined when you're invited by an already orkut member. Google.com (tm) scans and prioritizes contents coming from it's partner sites like in the case of orkut being it's partner when it comes to social networking community.

Once youre there and logged in, list your site and mention your urls as many times as relevant in your profiles and in your about area. Make friends invite as many as you can, to as many as 5 billion members and scribble in their scribble board and sign in their testimonials of all that you do pls bear in mind that you're not there to get a date but you're there on one mission to get listed so don't be sidetracked. Once you do scribbling and testimonial here and there always mention your url one liner will not hurt.

5. Obtain a gmail.com (tm) account. Like orkut.com (tm) it is free 2.8gb (at the time of writing) and it will benefit you most. You can only get this account when someone invites you in.

Once you're logged in there, add your urls in your email signature, to your profile and whenever you email add it to your subject, body and mention it as often as possible when you send your email. Google.com scans it's gmail.com email messages for content for proper delivery of adsense on it. Once it scans your url on it, it lists it.

6. Obtain a free blog account on www.blogger.com and your web address on it will be something like http://weblord.blogspot.com/ Once you're there mention your urls on your profile, your blog entries, whenever possible and modify the template on it and put in the urls near the comment box, so everytime you have an entry it will act like a email signature containing your urls. Describe your site's capabilities and also yours. YOu are selling yourself but not hard sell make it like you're telling an emotional story in the form of diary entries.

7. Obtain a yahoo.com account and login here http://my.yahoo.com make sure you add all your content in .xml format.

If you have already an account on blogspot/blogger.com you will automatically have .xml format content, if for example your url there is nabaza.blogspot.com your .xml content will be nabaza.blogspot.com/atom.xml that's the one you submit to yahoo.com with your url on it of course.

Usually google.com prioritizes contents from their partner sites, huge sites and yahoo.com is a huge site, so when it the googlebot (tm) (googles automated site crawler) sees your urls on yahoo.com it eats it and lists it. Make sure your profiles contains as many urls as relevant as you can list them, on the about me, on the hobbies, etc. http://profiles.yahoo.com/ and also when you're there upgrade for free your profiles on yahoo.com login here http://360.yahoo.com/ and enabled your profile should integrate with 360.yahoo.com. There you go you are now listed on yahoo.com, if the googlebot scans yahoo.com for contents and sees a new url on it, it eats it, and lists it on google.com

8. Visit google.com and make a search about "google" and take note of the search results there. As much as possible your creativity is needed here, among the results, try to get in touch with the webmasters and arrange for a link exchange or link trading system with them. Webmasters respond fast and they talk straight so be sure to study very well their site content before blurting it out with them.

9. Get a free googlegroups.com (tm) account and create as many mailing list or google groups that's relevant for your website. Make sure on the url or webaddress area of each googlegroup account you open you mention something about your site.

10. If your site is selling tangible products and you have set up your very own ecommerce payment system or are enjoying third party merchant account providers, you can list your site for free at http://www.froogle.com/ - ecommer shopping directory of google.com

How To Build Your List For Free Using Google Adwords

Authored By James Woolley

There are numerous ways you can go about building your list,
but in my opinion using Google Adwords, and indeed other
pay-per-click sites, is one of the best ways of building a
highly targeted list of responsive subscribers. Not only
that, but if done correctly, you can effectively build your
list for free, as I will demonstrate in the remainder of
this article.

I own numerous websites in a variety of niches, and have
successfully built up large lists of subscribers for a lot
of these sites. A large percentage of these subscribers have
come from Google Adwords alone, and best of all it's hardly
cost me anything at all.

It all comes down to one thing - Backend Commissions.

Here's what you need to do:

1. Find targeted, but relatively cheap keywords you can use
to advertise your site on Google Adwords (less than $0.40
per click). The lower the better, and as any Adwords expert
will tell you, you should start off by bidding low to be
placed in the top 5-10 results in the pay-per-click results,
and concentrate on maximising your click-thru rate with a
compelling headline and compelling sales copy, to obtain a
higher position without having to increase your
cost-per-click.

2. Create an opt-in page and send the traffic you receive to
this page. This site has to be compelling enough for the
visitors you receive to fill out the opt-in form to
subscribe to your list. You should offer a free report
and/or bonus to get as many visitors to subscribe as
possible.

3. Here's the crucial part. On your thank you page that your
visitors are sent to after they have filled-in your form,
you should place links to either your own product, or to a
quality affiliate product that you can earn commissions
from.

This is a highly effective way of earning backend
commissions and effectively recouping your advertising
costs, if you have a good offer. You'd be surprised at just
how many people purchase from this thank you page. In my
experience a typical response rate is often anywhere between
2% and 10%, and for certain sites I've received a 30%
success rate, so in some instances I have actually made more
money from sales than I actually paid out in pay-per-click
advertising. Therefore, I'm effectively building my list for
free, and earning small profits along the way.

If you think about it, it's not surprising people take you
up on your offer because they have already trusted you
enough to leave their name and email address with you, so
why wouldn't they take you up on your offer?

One thing I will say though is that the product or offer
that you place on your thank you page must be affordable (I
would say $47 or less) otherwise you may find that none of
your opt-in subscribers take you up on your offer. Look at
it objectively and ask yourself whether you'd be tempted to
purchase the offer if it was someone else's site, and you
were the one that had just opted in.

In addition to using your thank you page as a way of
recouping your advertising costs, another good way of
achieving this goal is by giving away free reports or ebooks
to your opt-in subscribers which contain your affiliate
links. This provides another way of earning backend
commissions, and although, in my experience, not quite as
profitable as the thank you page method, can still deliver
the occasional sale, which all helps to cover your
pay-per-click advertising costs.

To sum up then, if you're building your list, make sure that
you are fully utilising your thank you page as a way of
earning commissions. If done correctly, you can successfully
recoup your Adwords costs, or indeed those costs that arise
from any other forms of promotion, and build your list for
free. As I have hopefully demonstrated, this thank you page
can be a very profitable page of your website, but
unfortunately most people simply don't take advantage of
this space and leave it blank, or just provide basic
instructions for completing the opt-in process. I've been
guilty of this myself in the past, but I now make sure that
I have a way of receiving backend commissions on the thank
you page of all of my niche websites.

Admittedly, there are some niches where the high
cost-per-click means that it is very hard to recoup your
advertising costs completely from backend commissions, but
even so, you can still claw back some of your costs by using
the methods I've discussed in this article.

How to thwart the Barbarian Spyware!

Authored By Doug Woodall

Today,on most internet user's computers, we have the ability to employ software, along with our intelligence, to prevent viruses and spyware.
To put this article into proper perspective, we'll use Medieval defense tactics.

This is accomplished by 3 methods. First, a firewall...'The Castle Moat' so to speak. A firewall can't see inside your computer beforehand though, so if any viruses or spyware were present before the firewall was installed
then its of no use. Of course, its extremely good at preventing new
attacks.

Second, a anti-virus program.... 'The Castle Drawbridge! They will not provide much help with spyware, but good virus protection is as desirable as one of Avaris's dreams! One drawback can be the updates, of course. If
you've just updated Wednesday night and a virus hits the next day, then you may not be protected till next Wednesday night, and by then it may be too late. If you're smart, you will have signed up for email alerts with the provider, or even better, you'll have a anti-virus program that has a real time update feature.

I get the tingles when I see that little pop-up saying a update is available and click here. Its downloaded, installed, and updated in about 20 seconds! A new virus or Trojan or God forbid, a new keylogger can hit the internet and spread in a matter of days, and I'm sure this must make the definition writers lives a living hell. I have great admiration for them as they could have been wealthy doctors, but they have chosen to help us... the end users. (moment of silence here)

Last, we have anti-spyware programs,'The Flaming oil'! (my favorite). Their update features are like the anti-virus programs, so you have to be as vigilant with this method of defense too as you would be with the others. I've heard there are people out there that don't even know when their
updates run, or even if its configured to do so! I refuse to believe this sordid rumor!

So you've got your defenses set up, you're looking good. But the best defense is a good offense, attack! That's what some organizations do. They prowl the net looking for websites that harbor drive-by downloads,
URL Re-Directing and such. When they find them, they shut them down, or report them so effective protection can be manufactured.

These people have my sincere thanks for what they do. With identity theft on the rise and Websense reporting that the average computer has 28 items of Spyware on it, we need all the help we can get. Oh sure, you're saying not my computer! Well, lets discuss those little boxes that you click
"I Agree" to when you download something. Do you read the entire statement?

This is one way spyware has become so rampant, because so many downloads have extra software included in them. These can be harmful to
your computers well being. KeyLoggers, popups, adware, malware...
Need I go on? So my idea is that we need these shining knights from the
castle to journey forth on a quest. They will be little robots or spiders like the search engines use. They will be given absolute power over harmful
programs they find. They will be like Gort in the movie "The Day the Earth Stood Still".

Dell recently reported that 12% of their calls were for spyware damage, Microsoft says half of their reports of system crashes are caused by spyware. These calls cost these companies millions of dollars in revenue, which they then pass the costs of onto us, the consumers. Who knows, if viruses and spyware ever get controlled, the average computer may only cost a dollar!

10 Ways To Indirectly Get To The Top Of Search Engines

Authored By Eugenijus

There are millions of web sites trying to get listed in
the top 20 spots of the major search engines. That
amounts to a lot of competition! I say if you can't
get listed at the top, indirectly get to the top.

How do you do this? Look up the top 20 web sites
on the major search engines under the keywords and
phrases people would find your web site. The key
would be to then advertise on those web sites.

The most expensive way would be to buy ad space
on those web sites. If you don't want to spend any
money, you could use the ten strategies below.
These strategies may not apply to every web site.

1. Participate on their discussion boards. You could
post questions, answer other peoples questions, and
join in on conversations. Just include your signature
file and link at the end of your messages.

2. Ask the web site owner if they would like a free
ebook to giveaway to their visitors. You could have
them link to your web site or include your ad in the
free ebook.

3. Submit content to their web site. You could write
articles for their web site and include your resource
box and link at the end of the article. If they publish
it, you'll indirectly be at the top of the search engines.

4. Write an excellent article review of their web site,
products or services. Then publish the review on your
web site. E-mail the web site owner and tell him or
her about it. They may link to your web site so their
visitors read it.

5. Ask the owner of the web site if they would want
to trade advertising. If you don't get as much traffic
as they do, you could throw in some extra incentives.

6. Propose a cross promotion deal with the web site.
You both could promote each others products or
services together in one package deal. This means a
mention and link back to your web site.

7. Give the web site a testimonial for their product or
service. Include a little text link for your web site with
the testimonial. You never know; it could end up on
their ad copy.

8. Post your advertisement on their free classified ad
section on their web site. You want to be sure you
have an attractive headline so they will read your ad.

9. Post your text link on their free-for-all links page.
You want to go back and post your link regularly so
it stays towards the top.

10. Sign their guest books. You could leave a short
compliment about their web site on their guest book.
Just include your signature file and link at the end of
your message.

truth which men prefer not to hear." -- Herbert Agar, in A

How To Get Ideas For Writing

Authored By Sally Taylor

To those who are not writers, artists, or composers the creative process seems an allusive mystical gift bestowed upon a fortunate few who are held in awe by the general population. When asked "where do you get your ideas" or "how do you do it", many cannot answer the question because the creative process is often not understood even by those who create. Writers sometimes remark about "inspiration" which does nothing to explain the creative process, but don't be hard on them. When writers block hits it's very easy to imagine creativity to be a gift of inspiration -- and who but an inspired person will sit for hours, days, and months pounding the keyboard into pulp, right?

One day in college I was walking with a friend after spending hours trying to come up with a suitable idea for a writing assignment. She asked me how I come up with my ideas. Astounded, I turned to her and replied, "if I knew that, I'd be sitting at my typewriter instead of walking around out here in the rain like a moron." That was when it struck me that I was approaching writing from the wrong angle. I was already able to get my ideas down on paper in a semi-cohesive manner. The problem was to get the ideas to put on paper at all. That day I decided to turn my attention to learning everything I could learn about the creative process. What I found was that creativity is easily obtainable, works according to certain principles, and can be called upon whenever the urge or need arises, and - here's a bonus. It gets easier with practice. If you write every day you probably observe many of the steps I have outlined below without even realizing it. If you have not used these methods, you are in for pleasantly surprising experimentation.

The first step may seem silly but should be taken seriously. The first thing you have to do is decide whether you are a writer or you are not. Writing is a glamorous occupation and draws the attention of many who are interested in that glamor but not in the actual work. Writing is work. If you are suited for it, it's entertaining work, but work none the less. Just as there are people who are meant to be doctors, lawyers, and accountants, there are people who are meant to be writers. If it drives you crazy to filter through piles of literature for facts and ideas, or to sit at a keyboard for hours at a time and every day of your life, you are not a writer. If you are slammed into inertia by rejection, you are not a writer. If your grammar skills are lacking you may be a writer, but you need to learn the language you intend to wield in your craft before you inflict poorly executed manuscripts on the rest of the world. If you don't love it enough to spend quantities of time on it, find another field more suitable for you.

Now, if you've decided you are, in fact, a writer at heart, the second step is to find out what kind of writer you naturally seem to be. Are you journalistic? Are you a story teller? Are you good at persuasion, advertisement writing? The easiest start for any writer is to develop the area of writing that comes most naturally to you first, then branch out from there. For years I have written letters for people with deep feelings and no idea of how to express them. I write the most tear jerking apology and love letters you've ever read. From there I branched into life biographies for people who wanted to leave more to their grandchildren than a bare branched, factual family tree. Then I moved on to other areas from there. It is only recently that I have moved into other realms and I am now enjoying writing styles that previously would have been frustrating for me. I experience none of the writer's block that I experienced as a college student and that I hear others co mplain so bitterly about. Developing your writing skills in a way natural to you will aide your creative development, but is not a guaranteed freedom from writer's block or lack of subject ideas. The rest of the steps are those taken to keep the ideas flowing freely no matter what area of writing you have decided to devote your attention to.

This is the last thing many of you are going to want to hear, but it is much easier to deal with than it sounds. The number one cause of writer's block is poor physical condition. Dieters often waste money for the "quick fix" instead of applying themselves to a healthy lifestyle. These people wind up in an endless quest for the right pill, and an endless struggle with weight, never finding success Sorry, there is no effective quick fix for the writer, either. It was no accident that Plato, the walking philosopher, developed his most profound ideas, and did most of his teaching, on foot. The body must be operating well and blood must be pumping oxygen and nutrients to the brain for it to function well. The best way to avoid writer's block is to eat healthy foods and to live an active lifestyle. Take note, I did not say get an exercise program. People quit programs. People put off programs. Programs are a miserable form of work. You need to adopt an active lifestyle. This doesn't mean sit ups in the living room.

My lifestyle includes walking my dog everyday and going rock hunting as often as possible, so I am in the mountains, streams, and canyons, walking, climbing, breathing fresh air. Besides clearing my head and keeping my body in shape, this also gives my mind plenty of time to wander and play. It burns out all the stress that cuts off the free flow of ideas. Rarely, if ever, do I come home from a day of hiking without new ideas that were not worked at, but came to me naturally and on their own. So find your own niche. Roller skate, walk, run, bike, climb, dance. Do what ever comes most naturally and is most fun for you. The more fun and interesting exercise is, the easier it is to keep it in your lifestyle. The less it feels like work that has to be done the better. If you're skeptical, get up and take a mile walk today, right now, then again each day for a couple of days. You will be amazed at the difference in your thought processes just a few days of exercise will make. You will soon find the exercise is something you actually look forward to.

Now that you've put your mind in shape it's time to train it to be creative. Thinking and creating are simply a matter of focusing energy. You have all heard spiritual leaders, healers, and the like attesting to focusing energy. They can all describe how they do this. Writers focus energy, too, but for some reason are speechless when asked how they do this, even though you probably experience it everyday. The key word is ritual. Ritual is well known throughout the spiritual kingdom.

The practice of donning specific clothing, chanting specific phrases, and using specific props and specific action sequences are all recognizable forms of ritual. Those preforming the rituals know that the ritual itself works no mystical wonders. The ritual is merely a procedure that, step by step, prepares the mind to call upon and focus it's energy on spirituality and enlightenment.

Ritual also prepares the mind to focus on being creative. Of course, not many of us will go through rituals resembling a spiritual gathering when we prepare to write, but if you stop and think about what you do before you write successfully, you will probably notice that you do, in fact, preform specific procedures before you sit down at the computer. My rituals are very specific. Before sitting down to write I do an hour or so of housework (I find it difficult to concentrate with clutter around me), then I do a few minutes of stretching, fix a pot of coffee, put on a white collared shirt and jeans, then I sit down to write. My mind knows when I preform these procedures that I am getting ready to create. By the time I change my clothes and sit down to write I am completely focused on the task at hand. My mind has been cued and given time to finish what it's doing and focus it's energy to creating writing for me.

Writing rituals are a personal matter and what works for one person won't have any effect on another. Perhaps you need to heat a potpourri (aroma does trigger some people). Maybe you need a certain beverage, or like particular clothing. Maybe you need to organize your papers and desk in a certain fashion. Whatever you notice a preference for doing while getting ready to write, you can incorporate into a before writing ritual. The trick is to use whatever works for you each time you intend to sit down to write. You will be amazed at how well this works. Soon you will never be at a loss to answer any question about how you do it.

Practice is the next key to creativity. If you are going to play piano, you know it takes plenty of practice to do so fluently. Just so, if you are going to write well and fluently, you need to practice every day, without fail. Keeping a daily journal is a good way to keep in practice. Daily entries not only keep your skills in practice, but also provide you a sounding board from which you can pull ideas for future articles and stories. I recommend keeping a journal even if you're job already entails daily writing. The journal will let you explore subjects and alternative forms of writing that you are not involved with on a daily basis.

So what happens if you have followed every step here and still experience a bout of writer's block? Learn to talk through it. Writing is not an innate ability. Many societies have functioned quite nicely with no written language. Verbal communication, however, is instinctual and any time two humans are raised together they will develop a means to communicate verbally. I could not have made a living writing letters if everyone who had feelings they could express to me verbally were also able to get those down into written form. So talk it out. Listen to your conversations when you talk with others. A normal conversation will jump from subject to subject via free association, that is, one subject will bring attention to the next much like a keyword in a computer will bring up lists of url's of related information. Somewhere in all those key subjects covered within your conversations with others may lie your next writing topic, so listen carefully.
Perhaps you are wanting to write something fictional about a topic that you have discussed with someone. For instance, say you were talking to a friend about a woman you saw on television who was talking about how to keep your spouse faithful. You are wondering how to turn it into a fictional piece. Start asking yourself questions out loud (your answers will come quicker) about what you heard. Ask yourself things such as, "what would happen if they found out this woman's husband, or she herself was having a affair" or "what if she was asking women to write to her for information so she could send information privately about a brainwashing technique". The more "what ifs" you can think of, the more subjects you have for your story.

After you find your subject, if you are a little stuck on which way to go with it or where to start, do some more talking. Bring the subject up purposely in conversation and see what others have to say. What do they already know or think about it? What questions and opinions do they have or wonder about? There is your starting point. You already have an audience viewpoint. If one person is wondering about something or holds a particular opinion, it's a safe bet others have the same questions or point of view.

Vocalizing also works well while you are actually writing and get blocked about what to say or how to word something. Just start talking out loud to yourself. Start with a line or two that you have just written and start talking. Just pretend you are talking to another person. Talk to your pet, they love the attention. Talk to your computer, the walls. If sitting and talking isn't helping, take a walk and talk out loud to yourself as you walk. You will appear mad as a hatter to anyone who sees you but your ideas will be flowing freely in no time.

If you have tried everything and still have had no success at retrieving an idea or two you can still do two more things to help the situation out. The first is to do some more research on the topic. As you go over material that is already available you can find areas that could use more information or a different point of view. The more you know about a subject, the easier it is to write about.

The second means is to just leave it all alone for a while. Once you have chosen a topic to write about your mind will keep working on the topic even after you quit paying attention to it. This can also sometimes result in having an idea come to you at some inconvenient time such as the middle of the night when you are sleeping nice and comfy, but at least it will come to you. It's no wonder that creativity seems like it just descends upon us from the heavens sometimes.

Now that you know how to trigger the free flow of ideas, creativity will no longer seem like the allusive gift bestowed upon the few and fortunate. Don't let that bring you down, though. You are still in an elite class, because, as mentioned before, writing just isn't for everyone. Besides, most other people will still regard creativity as a gift to the few - and there's no reason you have to tell them any different!

How Do People Know You're in Business?

Authored By Wendy McClelland

One of the most important things to do now that you have started a business is to TELL THE WORLD! But HOW? It can be very expensive and time consuming if not done properly. Here's some inexpensive publicity and marketing ideas to help you get recognition for your new venture.

You've picked a great name for your company, made a list of your potential clients, incorporated your business and you're ready to go. What next? Well, you need to find as many ways as possible to tell people you're in business, and why they should do business with you!

One of the first things to do is to get business cards printed up and carry them wherever you go. Hand them out to everyone you know. It always amazes me how many people forget to give their cards to friends and family. Even if you "think" your family knows what you do – you might be surprised to find out how little they really do know. Besides, they may have a friend who needs exactly what you offer, and it's much more professional for them to offer a business card than a scrap of paper with your name and number scrawled on it.

Make sure your cards are professionally printed and have no spelling mistakes. This may be the first impression someone has of your business - make it a great impression - because you won't get a second chance to do it better. Make sure your cards have as many to contact you as possible: snail mail, fax, phone, email, pager, etc. Give people as many options as you can. Make sure your card also clearly states what you do – if you just have your name and phone number on your card it's likely to be tossed in the garbage. I make sure I give away AT LEAST 5 business cards a day. People ask, "Who can you possibly give 5 business cards to?" How about: leaving one on the tray when I leave my payment and tip for the waitress in a restaurant, giving it to the receptionist when I sign in at the dentist/doctor/vet, go to meet with my child's teacher at school, chat with another parent at the swimming pool watching our kids swimming, someone I meet in the checkout line at the grocery sto re, etc, etc. If you want to grow you business quickly this is one way to start!

Send out press releases to your local paper - these are free and many times the paper may phone for a follow up interview. Have press kits ready when you're asked for them. Remember a press release needs to sound like a news story, NOT an advertisement for your business. If you're not familiar with how to write one there are lots of articles online to help you.

First impressions are so important – did you know that you only have 15 seconds to capture someone's attention when they see your advertising in a newspaper or magazine? Yes, 15 short seconds - not long to make a good impression is it? But you know what? It takes even less than that to make a bad impression.

So, how to make the most of your 15 seconds in the spotlight - and win customers at the same time? Make sure that any print ads REALLY do a terrific job for you – get feedback from people you trust. Just because you think something looks good, doesn't mean it will sell your product. Test the ad in the paper one week, make a change to it and put it in the paper the next week (on the same day of the week) and see which ad gets the most response for you. Always test your ads this way. You're wasting money if you don't.

Create advertising that has the following traits - well designed (get help if you need it), is truthful (don't stretch the truth either) and tells the customer the benefits to them if they buy and lastly requests an action - something like - "call now to order", "order today, supply limited".

First impressions count when meeting in person even more! Every person in business should have a 15 second "script" explaining what you do ready to tell a prospective client at anytime. I know some people say that it sounds too rehearsed to be "ready" – I say it sounds like you're prepared to do business. I'd rather do business with someone who is prepared, than someone who is still fumbling around trying to figure out what they're supposed to be doing. An example of a 15 second script might be: "Hi my name is Sally Jones and I am a communications specialist who helps ensure your technology hardware all speaks the same language, so that when your computer tells the printer to print it will!" If you met Sally Jones, heard her introduction and got her card, you would likely remember her because she explained what she did very clearly, but also in a unique way. Not many computer technicians would explain their jobs this way. Find a unique way to explain what you do.

Imagine you step into an elevator and right in front of you is the MOST IMPORTANT POTENTIAL CLIENT you could ever imagine and it's JUST THE TWO OF YOU. You have 20 floors (about 15 seconds) to make an impression! What would YOU say??

Does everything that leaves your office have your company name and/or web address on it? It should! That includes your vehicle, stationery, delivery driver's t-shirts, etc – everything!

Every day will provide you with opportunities to tell people about your business – don't miss them! Don't be afraid to ask for a cross-promotional opportunity. Team up with other businesses to make your profile larger, and your business will grow much faster.

Get Rich Quick Scams Revealed
Read this article before you consider paying for a "get rich quick" program.
From: AFFILIATE PROJECT X
Everybody would love to make lots of money quickly, working from home, and only doing a few hours of work per week. I've spent the past two years trying to find a great way of doing this. Only over the course of the past few months have I found any "get rich quick" programs worth buying. I've been trying to make money online for a long time. I had a few small websites, but they never made much more than a few hundred per month. It was easy money and didn't require much work on my part, but I knew there were people out there doing better than I was and I knew I could do as well as them.
Now, I've seen a lot of "get rich quick" programs. Most of these people make claims about earning $2000/day with Google or something similarly insane. Almost all of these people are complete liars. Even if they were making $2000/day with Google AdSense, it'd be because they had high- traffic websites with a lot of quality content. I'd know, because in one whole month, I never even made half of what they promised I'd make daily with their programs. Maybe you've already been scammed by one of these fraudsters. Anyway, I finally got sick of what was being offered.
I decided I'd look through the all of the "get rich quick" programs I could find and see if there were any that were actually legitimate. I found that there were owners selling their programs for well over $100, but the information in them could be found almost anywhere online for free. Additionally, they all contained out-of-date information, had no e-mail support, no money back guarantees, and broken links in the downloads section.
In conclusion, almost all of the programs I found were completely useless. The owners knew it, but they couldn't care less about their customers since they didn't offer refund policies! Amazingly, while looking through all of the programs, I actually did find a few legitimate programs. They were run by ordinary people like you and me, and they had found some great methods of making money from their home by doing very little work.
I spent some time working with those programs, and my income is now ten times what it used to be. These programs provided a large amount of great information on how to make extra money on your computer doing very little work. Numerous customers had provided great feedback and reviews for their products. Many of them have started to make money just days after buying!
Their programs have excellent prices, and the authors have a group of paid staff who are dedicating to helping you or providing assistance if you need any. I must say I was amazed! If you do decide to purchase any of the programs listed below, I recommend you join quickly. Most of the owners tell me they are getting an overwhelming number of sales and plan on raising prices in the near future, so order while prices are still low!
To Your Online Success,

Forget Dreams...Have Visions!

Authored By S. Kumar

Do you still keep that all important 'Inner Spark Alive'? ...even 15 yrs later from college!

To me 4 steps lead to 'true arriving'. Our success domain can be summarized in 4 simple steps.

______
Step#1 : Dream With Totally Relaxed Freedom!

Though I said, forget Dreams what I meant is dream with freedom in detail. Uninterrupted, free flowing and mentally 'living it out'. Learn to dream this way!

______
Step#2 : Let Your Dreams Lead To Visions!

Yes! Clear cut visions where you see the complete road map. All vivid and clear. Hearing, seeing, feeling, tasting and smelling whole picture exactly as you want it. This is what I call focused visions.

______
Step#3 : Let Your Visions Lead To A Physical Model!

Make a small model of your vision...just the way an architect make miniature models of his buildings.

Or make a 'printable' model on a piece of paper. Thorough and clear. Include everything that you want in it.

______
Step#4 : Begin To Manifest Your Miniature Model!

Ladies and gentlemen! Now you are on to it!

This is the area where you come across some practical problems. Keep focused on your miniature model - Begin tackling the problems as and when it arises. One by one.

Forget the word determination to release yourself from self-defeating pressures!

Instead, just be 'willing to go through' what it takes it to be there. That is submit yourself completely to your vision.

__________
End Result: Your success! Unadulterated pure success!

Passion Equals Profits

Authored By Matthew Tibble

Many people often ask me why I do what I do. That is, why do I spend so much time during my waking hours working on my internet business?

To be honest, I sometimes ask myself that same question.

So, I decided to sit down and figure out why I am prepared to give up days upon days of my time when others are out enjoying the weather or relaxing over a cup of coffee. And the only answer I could come up with was this – I love what I do.

As simplistic as it sounds, this is the source of my energy and enthusiasm, despite many frustrating tasks and instances that I find myself dealing with. I realized that I am one of the lucky ones – able to combine work and pleasure.

You see, for me, my internet business and my business in general is a passion. I have a burning desire to help others achieve success in their business, whether it is on the internet or off it. I especially have a desire to help charities realize the potential that can be gained from business on the Internet.

I spend my time figuring out codes, writing articles and newsletters, preparing advertising, and so on, because I LOVE what I do.

Recently out at dinner with friends, I was asked again about how I am able to work such long hours. I explained to them that when you have a passion about something, then you are no longer working. Having a passion and a drive for a task gives you the energy and ambition to complete it. Many people struggle to find this ambition, but I believe that the moment they unlock their passion and begin spending time with that passion on a daily basis, they will have more than enough energy and drive to get the job done.

So, if you are struggling with your job, your business, or life in general, have a think about what you are passionate about. It might be helping others, understanding how computers work, writing articles or talking to customers. Whatever it is, embrace it. The moment you can spend your waking hours doing something you love, you will have all the enthusiasm you need to succeed.

As another benefit, you are able to generate an income at the same time. What a life!

The Psychology Of Success

Authored By Kevin Quigley

Everybody has a dream. A fantasy, if you like. Usually it takes the form of something we would like to have, or something we would like to have happen to us. How we respond to this dream will decide whether we are successful, or whether we remain as we are.

We could continue to dream and say 'If only...', knowing that we will never see our dream come true. In this case our dream becomes a SUBSTITUTE for action. Or we can act on our dream and try to make it happen. In this case our dream becomes a MODEL for our action.

I think we all have a dream. Be a millionaire, own a nice home in the country, own a Rolls Royce, whatever... That dream will only remain a dream for as long as we let it. In most cases this is forever.

Many people think that a dream is just a pleasant fantasy. Well, it can be. But the most important aspect of a dream is that it is a signal for action. The most incredible success stories all began with a dream. A dream is a goal for us to achieve a purpose in life - a destination.

That last point is very important. A goal is essential if you are to achieve great wealth. And it is important that you focus on a specific goal in your dream. It is no good saying that you want to be rich. This is not specific
enough. That would be like going to a bank and asking for plenty of money!

To set an effective goal it must be a specific one. Your ultimate goal will be reached via many smaller, short-term 'goals'. Remember, a goal is a destination, and you can't get there if you don't know where you're going.

The Power Of Desire...

Once you know what you want, you must then imagine what life would be like when you have it. If you want to be a millionaire, think of how you would spend your free time, and the luxuries you would enjoy. This brings into play the power of desire. This is an enormously strong emotion. When we desire, we tend to make more positive attempts to obtain the object of our craving.

Buy a small note book and write about a typical day (or day off!) when you are wealthy. Imagine what you would be able to do with the increased spending power. Write down everything that you would like to do, given
the chance. Be as explicit as you like, and write it as vividly as you can.

When you have finished, read it back to yourself. What does it do to you? Can you feel yourself aching to be able to live life that way? Does it make you really jealous of those who are enjoying that sort of life? If it does, then well done. You have just created desire. If you have done it well enough, you should want that life so much that it hurts!

Read this note book every day. Add more to it if you think of something else you would like to do. Your book will motivate you through desire. It will remind you of the reward waiting for you - and it will inspire you to succeed.

So now go back over your dream of the future. You are now going to focus on the things you desire. You no longer want a Luxury car - you want a Rolls Royce. It isn't A house it's THE house. The one on Accacia avenue that you pass every day on your way to work. You must now start to focus on your 'goals'.

Observing The Reality...

The next stage of action is to observe the reality. If there IS a house you would like, then visit it often. By this I don't mean you should stand under an adjacent street-lamp and leer ghoulishly at it until the cops arrive! You need only walk past it. Plan what changes you will make to it when it is yours, mentally re-arrange the garden and picture how you will change it
to suit you.

If you know which sort of car you would buy, look at a model in a showroom. Find out about it. Get the specifics. Find out how much it costs, what extras are available, and other relevant details. Remember, you are converting your dream into hard facts. You are creating a specific destination. By doing this, you will be taking a positive step toward achieving your dream. Whereas before you were a thinker, now you are a doer. Positive action is characteristic of a successful entrepreneur.

Look To The Future...

An important aspect of of visualizing your dream is the ability to look to the future. In doing this you are applying the same technique as millions of other successful people. You must see your life as it will be when your dream comes to fruition. You are preparing yourself for your own success.

Many of the people who buy books on starting a business actually don't bother starting up. They can't imagine themselves ever running their own business and earning Unlimited amounts of money. They never see things how they can be - only how they are. Don't make this mistake. KNOW what you want, KNOW how to get it, SEE how it WILL be, and then go for it!!

How To Get Free Traffic To Your Website

Authored By James Woolley

Many website owners start a website and find they only have a limited budget, if any, to spend on advertising. This is not necessarily a problem, however, because there are several ways of promoting your site for free.

The most obvious way is to submit your site to sites offering free classified ads. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of these sites on the internet. Start with some of the more popular ones and begin experimenting with different ad copies to see which ads attract the most readers, and stick with them when posting on other free classified sites.

You can also sign up to various traffic exchanges, and promote your site to other users. This is a great way of getting guaranteed hits to your site, although it is untargeted traffic. I recommend manual exchanges over automatic because this way people have to physically click on ads themselves, so more people will actually see your site. For optimum results you should join 8-10 of the largest traffic exchanges, and download a browser such as crazybrowser, which will allow you to have upto 10 windows open in the same page. Therefore you can surf them all at the same time, and quickly amass hundreds of hits to your site.

Submitting your site to directories is also a good way of getting free traffic to your site. Plus not only will you get a small steady stream of traffic, but it will also benefit you in terms of search engine rankings. You want to target high pagerank (from the downloadable Google toolbar) directories, and those where your site will be listed on a high pagerank page. This will boost your own pagerank, and help you achieve higher rankings in the future, allowing you to get subsequent free traffic from the search engines.

Similarly getting links from other related sites, either one-way or more commonly reciprocal links, will also improve your pagerank, and search engine rankings. If you are able to get links from popular sites, or get prominent links, for example from a home page of a popular site, then you can get a lot of free traffic from these sites.

Safelists are a traditional form of free advertising, and although not as effective as they once were, they can still deliver reasonable results, particularly if you are building a list of subscribers. A safelist is essentially just of list of opt-in email subscribers, who are free to send and receive emails to and from each other. You should make sure you use a free email address as your inbox will be filled with hundreds of emails.

Posting on popular forums that allow sig files (external links at the bottom of each post) can be a very effective way of receiving free traffic to your site. You should create a compelling link in your sig file, and the link should use anchor text which contains your main keyword(s) for SEO purposes. You should then make helpful and useful posts to these forums, which will build your reputation and get your link seen of course. Just make sure you don't post worthless posts, just so you can promote your sig file.

A truly viral way of getting lots of free traffic to your site is by writing and creating your own free report or ebook, based on the subject of your site. This should include links to your site embedded within it. You can then contact popular related sites, free ebook sites, ezine owners or people with large lists, etc, and offer your free ebook to them, and tell them that they have permission to freely distribute it on their site or to their subscribers.

Finally, another great viral advertising method which can also result in a large increase in traffic over time is by writing articles. Simply write informative articles related to your site and submit them to as many article directories as possible. Each article should contain a resource box which tells the reader about yourself and also includes that crucial link (using keyword rich anchor text if possible) to your site. For even greater results you can track down ezine owners with large lists who accept article submissions, and submit your articles directly to them, offering you immediate access, if accepted, to potentially thousands of readers.

As you can see you don't necessarily need to pay out lots of money to promote your website successfully. There are some equally effective free methods that can deliver excellent results, particularly those last two methods that I mentioned, writing free reports and articles.

Whatever methods of advertising you choose to persue, you should make sure that you use some kind of ad tracking software to track your results. This will tell you which methods of promotion are delivering results, and are worth continuing, and which ones are simply not worth wasting your time over.

How to Make $5,000 per Month Online Using Only Email

Authored By Jason Mangrum

Have you ever thought about a specific
amount of money you *think* you need, to
feel what it's like to experience success?

Go back and read that question again.

Most haven't, but chances are if you
have, it's pretty close to $5,000 a month.

I recently ran a survey to a handful of my
best customers, asking them how much
money they'd have to make to call themselves
successful in their online business...

Out of 113 surveyed, 42 responded with at
or around $5,000 a month. 18 of the 42
specifically mentioned passive, or residual
income in the amount of $5,000 per month.

Thirty-seven percent of those surveyed
wanted $5,000 per month, while fifteen
percent wanted it in residual income.

As you continue to read this article,
you will learn about a rock solid,
tried, tested and approved nine-step
strategy for easily acquiring $5,000
per month online using only email...

1. Find an affiliate program that pays
instantly, or at least twice a month.

2. Join the affiliate program and
calculate your Dollar Value Commission
divided by 5,000. This will give you the
total number of sales you need to convert
from your affiliate link each month.
[Example: $33.50 / 5,000 = 150 sales per month]

3. Take your number of sales per month,
and divide by four. This gives you the
number of sales needed per week.
[Example: 150 / 4 = 38 sales per week]

4. Take your sales per week and divide
by seven. You now have the number of
sales needed per day...
[Example: 38 / 7 = 6 sales per day]

5. Now create your Simplified Target
Statement:

Example:
"In order to acquire $5,000 per month,
I am attracting 6 sales per day, 7 days
per week -- this or something better!"

6. Print out this statement, take a red
pen and circle it. Trace the circle a
few times with the pen to "cement" the
the idea firmly in your mind.

7. Tape it to your computer desk, or
keep it somewhere near you. Preferably,
you want to see it during the morning,
afternoon and night if possible.

8. Go to MBPAdvertising.com and run a
solo ad inside a publication. Keep a
record of what publications pull sales,
and keep buying ads in those ezines
until your campaign becomes unprofitable.

9. Buy more ads from different sources.
MyWizardAds.com and DirectoryOfEzines.com
can both provide excellent resources for
advertising in online publications.

Within one week of each campaign, find
out which publications to keep advertising
in, and which ones to drop by calculating
the revenue minus advertising cost of each
referred sale. For example, if Ezine A ran
my ad and it received 34 sales generating
$1,139 in commissions, and I paid $149 to
run the ad, I made $990.00 in pure profit.

Obviously, I made more than I spent to
acquire those customers, so my campaign
is considered profitable. This is ALL that
matters. If you're making more than you're
spending to get customers, you're golden!

People often get caught up and frozen in
details that really don't matter anyway.

All that matters is that you make more
than you spend to acquire new customers.

Granted, some can afford to lose money
on acquiring new customers because they
have a well thought out follow up strategy
to pick up the profit on the back end.

This may seem basic... and it is. But
if you can apply 100% of your focus to
a Simplified Target Statement without
worrying about the details... you will
reach your target and acquire the exact
amount of income you're after.

Sure, there are many other things you
could do to acquire just six new customers
per day, with a commission of $33.50 per
sale -- but you don't need it.

Stick to the basics. They're basic, because
they are fundamental principles that work.

I can't tell you how long it'll take you
to reach your $5,000 per month reward.

But this simple method can make earning
that lifestyle closer than ever before.

Think about it. With a $67 product at
50% commission, you're just six sales
per day away from a $5,000 per month
experience that'll change your life.

Success And Your Journey To An Abundant Life

Authored By Kurt Lee Hurley

Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.
- Robert Collier

Your journey to success is a pathway that only you and you alone can take, it is paved with gold as well as a little black and blue. The truly valuable lessons are in the learning and in the acquisition of all the necessary requisite tools to not only make manifest your desires, but to also assist in the development of your 'well' of resources, resources that you will always have, always need and will be tools that you can use to help others achieve what you have been able to achieve.

Taking inspired and motivated action to get out of your current groove is the first step in living and enjoying the life you've always dreamed of, the life you are capable of. So…if you want to change your life, start with 'changing your mind'. Positively!

There is no better time to initiate positive action than right now. Plan and prepare, develop confidence in your research and preparedness. Don't allow yourself to become petrified and immobilized by indecision. Realize that the time has come and you must act. If you hesitate, doubts will set in, continue to skulk and then turn into fear. You may falter a little. Yes, you may experience rejection. And yes, you may fail and fail you should, temporarily. That's life. Life's winners accept that in attempting to achieve their desires, they may have to modify accordingly and even begin again and perhaps again. The difference between successful people and those that just don't get it is not whether you make mistakes or even provisionally fail, but how you respond to your failures and that you pick yourself up after each fall and continue on.

Indeed, a positive mental attitude is the consequence of a life devoted to self-improvement and to passionate service. With a personal pledge to doing and being your best today, you mustn't be overtly concerned for the 'morrow. You can be self-assured that excellent things will happen and be equally confident that if difficulty arrives, you will have the mind, the might, the tools and the proficiency to muddle through, take control and then triumph over. You are resilient. You keep on keepin' on. You don't allow the concept of doubt to annihilate your dreams.

Unless you outline/configure your own life, circumstances and events will outline/configure your life for you. You must work, sacrifice, invest, persist and persevere to get the outcome you desire. Choose well. You can't plan your journey until you know where your destination lies.

You are the sculptor, the master craftsman of your own image and self-concept. Have others already achieved what you want to achieve? Is there somebody in any walk of life that you really revere and have a high regard for? Analyze them and do what they did, it is called replication. Start anywhere, at anytime, and endure till the end. Believe in yourself and your innate abilities. Have the self-confidence to challenge your current state of affairs. This is your life to live; it's little by little, day by day and step by step.

Judiciously write down your goals. A mere three percent of people have written goals and only one percent reviews those written goals daily. Be in that elite one percent. Visualize the attainment of your goals, your objectives often. Goals are dreams with dates attached. You will only become as great and as happy as the goals you choose, again I say… Choose Well! It is imperative

It's not going to be a cakewalk. You will have to emerge from your comfort zone to discover your inherent, but most likely latent potentials and be open to receive the inevitable opportunities lying in wait for you. You have to overcome your fears and take the necessary calculated risks to overtake them. You must remain laser-focused and persevere despite the obstacles you will encounter along the way.

Success doesn't come quick; it doesn't come easy and should be painful enough to elicit deep introspection. It requires heart and soul; it requires passion and an unfailing burning desire. It will most assuredly also take considerable time before you can actually harvest the fruits of your labor, you will reap what you sow…trust me!

But how do you actually survive this phase? This is the
period when you're working extremely hard to achieve your goals.
This is also the best illustration of your mettle, when you must endure whatever adversity comes your way. The time has come for you to work harder, dig deeper, and sacrifice more to attain your ambitious desires. Remember the Law of Attraction: You attract into your life that which represents your true aspirations; you will only get what you give. This is law!

So what must you do?

Discover the beauty of your current conditions. Become a witness to the positive side of life, don't just observe, develop a testimony. Become passionate. Love your family, your boss, your coworkers, your friends, and even strangers. Again, It won't be easy; nevertheless nothing and I whole-heartedly mean nothing, is at all impossible with iron-clad will power. Balance is the key. Dream a 'big dream' taking positive action to move you onward and upward toward your goals. Remember; take it one step at a time. However while you're slowly creeping along the long and winding journey to success, be patient and remain as enthusiastic as possible. Enjoy the journey; after all, it is your life. Eventually, you will attain what you have so patiently longed for.

Steadfastly remain humble. The rewards for humility are vast and far- reaching…

Okay, so here we are, are you ready to begin the journey? If so, then initiate it with the bravery, the audacity and the desire to improve your life. Stay alive, be persistent, enthusiastic and hold to the iron rod of positive thought, of astute positive thinking and resolve to help others on their upward climb…on their journey to success as well.

How Anyone Can Get a #1 Ranking on Google Without Paying A Dime

Authored By Mark Flavin

Learn Some Powerful Web Traffic Creation & Conversion Techniques!

In this lesson you will learn:
• The most powerful & underutilized

traffic creation method
• How anyone can get a #1 ranking on Google
• What is better than getting a #1

ranking on Google
• Why not to pay an "expert" & how to avoid the most common traffic creation scam.

Here it is short and sweet- they key to getting a #1 search engine rank is …..your keywords.

That's it.

Hold on for a minute…. This is not the panacea that you think it is.

Here is the real story - there are good keywords and there are bad keywords. Good keywords get a lot of traffic and bad keywords don't.

Anyone can get a #1 rank for a bad keyword - in fact you probably have one and don't even know it.

Unfortunately, there are "experts" out their charging a lot of money and promising that they will get you a #1 ranking. You pay them and get a #1 ranking - but it is for a bad keyword. I don't call them "experts" - I call them criminals. They are no better than any common pick-pocket or bank robber.

They take your money - and give you nothing of value in return.

So, how do you get a # 1 rank for a good keyword ….well….. that is a lot of hard work….and takes many months….and if you hire someone it will cost a lot of money.

But there are 2 reasons why you should not give up:

1) You don't have to be #1 you only have to be in the top 10
2) It's not black or white - good or bad. You can make a lot of money online with what I call "better" keywords

TOP 10?

That's right - you don't have to be #1 for a good keyword - in fact some studies have found that the #2 & #3 search results are clicked on more than the #1. As long as you are on the first page for a good keyword, that is all you need. Now, don't get me wrong - getting in the top 10 is not
a piece of cake - but it is much more attainable than the #1 position.

BETTER KEYWORDS?

If "bad keywords" get no traffic and "good keywords" get a lot of traffic - then what is a "better keyword" and how is it better than a keyword that gets lots of traffic?

Well, you see all web traffic is not created equal. There is "Random Traffic" and there is "Targeted Traf'fic". Good keywords get a lot of "random traffic" and better keywords get a steady flow of "Targeted Traffic".

For example, say you sell Digital Video Cameras. The keyword "Digital Cameras" is one of the most popular keywords on the Internet. If you could get a top 10 ranking for "Digital Cameras" - that would be good - so Digital Cameras is a good keyword.

But, a quick search reveals that there already are 1,285,550 other websites about "Digital Cameras". It will be very hard to get a top 10 ranking - not impossible - but very, very hard. Also, the topic of "Digital Cameras" is very broad. This means that much of the traffic will not want to buy a Digital Video Camera. We call that "Random Traffic".

But, watch what happens when you make your keyword more specific. If you instead target the keyword, "Sony Digital Video Camera", you will only be competing with 519 other sites. You will still need to do some work
for a top 10 ranking - but it is a lot easier to compete with 519 sites than
1,285,550 sites.

Also, people searching for the very specific term "Sony Digital Video Camera" are more likely to buy from you than someone who searched for just the term "Digital Camera".

Therefore, "Sony Digital Video Camera" is a better keyword than "Digital Camera". It does not get as much traffic - but it will be much easier to get a top 10 ranking for - and the traffic that it does get will be "Targeted Traf'fic". They will be much more likely to purchase from you.

How do I find better keywords?

Glad you asked. Finding better keywords is the starting point to any traffic creation method. It does not matter how you are creating traffic, before you do anything else - you need to know what are the "better keywords" for your product or service.

A fundamental business & marketing concept is that people buy based on how they feel and what they want - not based on the features of your
product. You need to be thinking about benefits & about emotions - not product specifications. To find better keywords you combine this concept with some very useful tools - and the result is a whole dictionary of "better keywords" specifically about your product.

What's that you say…you don't have a product yet? No problem. You can use the same principle & the same tools to find a topic that people are very passionate about. Then with a little research, you can quickly & easily create a product that is virtually guaranteed to sell.

Ok, but once you do have a product how do you find "better keywords"?

Here is the process:

1) Think about your customers and why they buy your product. What emotions & wants are they filling?

2) Create a short list of 10-20 emotion packed terms based on those wants & desires.

3) Generate more terms with a Research tool from:
http://www.Trafficology.com/research/

4) Get a list of 100-200 Terms

5) Narrow down the keywords to the top 20-30 based on traffic & competition. You are looking for the keywords that have the most number
of searches, but the least number of other sites using the same keyword.

Those last 20-30 are what I call "better keywords".

Sounds complicated? Well, trust me - its not. In fact, it is very, simple.

In the Trafficology newsletter I show an examples of how this is done. A
step-by-step case study of how I found "better keywords" for a real-life company. I go through the whole process, and you see just how easy it really is. Also, In future issues we will cover how to use the exact same technique to find a new target market for a product you haven't even
created yet.

That's not all, there is a lot more to cover about "better keywords". Once you have some experience we will show you how to find the terms that your competition is using - and how to improve them. We will show you how to find the most common misspelling of terms that relate to your product. We will show you how to find many terms that you never would have thought of on your own, and we will cover several other advanced keyword topics that you don't want to miss.

"I've got my keywords. Now what?"

I bet you are thinking about Search Engines. Now that you have done your research, you want to know how to optimize your website and get a top 10 search engine ranking for these "better keywords".

STOP! First, ask your self this key question… Will people buy my product with these keywords?

Now we know that people are searching for these "better keywords". We also know that we will have more qualified visitors with these "better keywords", but that is not enough. Search Engine Optimization is a long and expensive process. Before you commit your time & money - you need to make sure that the traffic from these keywords WILL buy your product or service.

I have seen it time and time again. People have these "better keywords". They spend months optimizing their website. They get tons of quality traffic - but no one buys anything - zip-zilch-nada - nothing.

There are many reasons why this occurs and it generally falls into the conversion category. But, if you have even a halfway decent website - even a basic website with just a picture of your product and an order
button - you will get some sales because you have the right keywords.

The point of getting the right keywords is to draw people to your site who already want your product and are ready to buy. No matter how bad your site is at converting, at least a couple of these visitors will make a purchase - they already want what you are selling! If they don't, then you
don't have the right keywords.

You see, a long time ago all anyone cared about was getting traffic. They looked at it like it was a numbers game - if I get 1000 visitors I will get 5-10 sales. But people soon found out that the numbers just did not work anymore. You could get 1,000,000 visitors and not make a single
sale if you did not have the right keywords.

Again, you need to have "Targeted Traf'fic". That is, you need traffic that is looking to purchase your product or service.

What about "better keywords"?

Here is the deal with better keywords - they will get traffic from people who are interested in your product or service - that does not necessarily mean they will BUY your product or service.

For example - think about refrigerators. Say you sell refrigerators - you could have great keywords - heck you could be #1 on Google for the term refrigerators and never make a sale. Sure, you are getting targeted traf'fic. The people searching for the term refrigerators most likely want what you are selling - but how many of them are going to buy a refrigerator online?

Do you know? I don't know - maybe a lot, or maybe none. But, I do know how to find out before I waste a lot of time & money optimizing my website.

The point is, not only do you need targeted traffic - but you also need targeted traffic that is ready, able & willing to purchase your product online. They must have want & desire, but more importantly, they must have the money and the ability to buy.

So how do I draw people who are ready, willing & able to purchase my product or service?

With "best keywords" of course!

Best keywords are the "better keywords" which draw the traffic to your site that will...dum-dum-dum-DUM...purchase!

Sure, you could optimize your site for the "better keywords" - but you will get the best return on your investment if you use only the "best keywords".

Here is how to find "Best Keywords":

1) Find a list of 20-30 "better keywords"
2) Open a Google AdWords campaign (cost $5)
3) Enter run a test campaign with your 20-30 "better keywords" (cost about $20-$30)
4) Use the Google AdWords control panel to identify which keywords draw paying customers.

The keywords that created sales are the "Best Keywords".

Now, don't quote me on the prices - but it is fairly inexpensive. Also, remember you are making money from the sales, so you should at least break even - if not make a good profit.

The experts can't agree on a number for sufficient sample data, but it is generally accepted in scientific circles that you will need at least 30 visitors to make a determination about each keyword (with 95% certainty). I personally like to get 100 visitors per keyword. Once you have 100 visits from a keyword - if you have no sales, then you will need to seriously
consider not using that keyword.

After going through this process you will identify the exact keywords to use that draw visitors who are ready, willing & able to purchase your product or service. You have found the "best keywords" for your customers.

Want more info on how to run a Google AdWords Campaign? Check out the Trafficology Newsletter where we will discuss the step-by-step process to set-up and run a successful Google AdWords campaign.

OK, I have found my "Best Keywords" - Now can I start my Search Engine Optimization? Nope. That's right - the answer is N-O!

Remember - even though we have the "best keywords", Search Engine optimization takes a long time - at least 30-60 days. Don't you want to m'ake money today? W'hy wait 30-60 days?

Look - here it is plain & simple. If you have the right key words, then Pay-Per-Click Advertising is like having your very own cash machine. You have already done all the work researching and testing keywords. You know exactly which keywords m'ake money and which do not.

So this is what you do.

1) See how much you paid Google for the "best keywords"
2) Count how many AdWords sales you had from you "best keywords"
Then use this formula: $'s for "Best Keywords" / # of sales = Cost for 1 sale Now, calculate how much profit you make on 1 sale.

If the amount of profit you make on 1 sale is more than the cost for 1 sale - you have found your own Internet money- making machine.

Here is an example.

Say you paid Google 30 dollars for your "best keywords" and made 10 sales.

$30 / 10 sales = $3 per sale

So it cost you $3 for each sale of your product.

Now calculate how much profit you make on each sale. Let's say that you make $10 profit per sale.

Since you paid $3 per sale to make $10 per sale, you take home $7 per sale. You have your own cash machine!

Now $7 is nothing to get excited about. But if you take a moment to think about it, you will soon realize that this is a scientific formula for the creation of profits. Enough profits turn into wealth.

If you find the "best keywords" that give you back more than you spend - why not just put more money into it and get more money out.

For, example:

What happens if you spend $300 on AdWords?

IF - and I mean ….IF you did your test correctly - then you will have similar
results as the $30 you spent - but 10 times bigger So, your cost will be $300. You will make 100 sales and $1000 in profit for a total take home of $700.

Not only do you have "best keywords", but you also have some cash to help you with your Search Engine Optimization.

Now are you seeing the power of the science called Trafficology? Do you understand why science is important to your website?

This concept is called scalability; the idea of increasing everything in equal
proportions. Theoretically, you could spend $300,000 to make $1,000,00'0 in profit and take home $700,000 - I don't know anyone who would turn down that kind of return.

Unfortunately, AdWords is not totally scaleable. Once other people see how much money you are making, they will drive your PPC costs up, and your profits down. Plus, you can't buy traffic that does not exist. You
might be able to find $300 worth of traffic and make $700, but it is not
very likely that you can actually find $300,000 in traffic - not impossible,
just not very likely.

"But, I don't have $300 to start with." Ok, but you do still have the $7 you
made from before right!

Let me introduce you to the idea of compounding - yes, we have all heard
about this before. And we have all dreamed about compounding before - but with the right keywords, compounding is actually a reality.

If your AdWords cost per sale is $3 and your profit per sale is $10, then here is what you do:

1) Spend your $7 on AdWords to get 2 sales and m'ake $20 in profit; take home 13 dollars.
2) Spend your $13 on AdWords to get 4 sales and m'ake $40 in profit; take home 27 dollars.
3) Spend your $27 on AdWords to get 9 sales and m'ake $90 in profit; take home 63 dollars.
4) Spend your $63 on AdWords to get 21 sales and m'ake $210 in profit;
take home 147 dollars.
5) Spend your $147 on AdWords to get 49 sales and m'ake $490 in profit;
take home 343 dollars.
6) Spend your $343 on AdWords to get 114 sales and m'ake $1140 in profit; take home 797 dollars.

Get the idea? If you take your money and reinvest it, it will grow. And, this process is fast - not years, days. That's right. DAYS!

IF you are making a profit of $10 per sale and, IF you find the right keywords that only cost you $3 per sale, THEN you can take $7 and m'ake $797 in a few short days.

That is the power of Google AdWords and that is how to use Web Traffic Science to achieve success - bet you never thought science could be so profitable.

Now, again - first you have to find the right keywords. Second, there is a lot to know to m'ake your AdWords campaign work right - plus you have to have a product that your are making a profit from. But, if you take a little bit of time to find the best keywords and use a little science - you can make some good money using PPC.

Is Your Identity Really Safe?

Authored By Ken Burnett

Here are...Ten Preventative Steps To Help
Safeguard Against Identity Theft.

Guard against malicious thieves stealing your identity.

If you receive suspicious billings or items that you
don't recognize. Call and investigate them right away with
your provider. Try to head of any means of fraud before it
can occur.

When you receive financial inquiries or solicitations in
the mail...DON'T just discard them in the trash. Invest in a
good crosscut shredder...Don't discard ANY mail
solicitations, fianancial papers, bank statements, invoices,
quoates, or any items that may contain information about you
or your family members. Don't give would-be thieves an
opportunity to gain access to your identity.

Don't give anyone your financial or private information over
the telephone unless you initiated the original phone
conversation and you can verify the person or organization
you're speaking to.

It's sad, but true in today's world. You must be very
careful not offer ANYONE your social security number, bank
account number, credit card number, or any private or
financial information over the phone without first properly
identifying them. Get their contact phone and call back to
verify. Also be careful not to be talking on a cordless or
cellular phone....these are NOT secure devices. Anyone with
a radio scanner may be able to monitor your conversation!

Protect your ATM cards, Personal Identication Numbers
(P.I.N.) Guard against ANYONE gaining posession of of any
ATM Cards, Charge Cards, and (PIN) Personal Identification
Numbers.Check that they are always in your control. Keep
account numbers, receipts, and contact information in a secure place
that'seasily accessed by you in the event that you identity
information is breached.

Report any lost, stolen, or missing checks immediately to
your bank. They can then arrange to block payment on
specific check numbers in question. When you receive your
checks in the mail, always confirm that none are missing.

Make sure to store cancelled checks in a safe place.

If you receive strange or suspicious inquiries asking for
your account information to verify a statement or confirm an
award or prize winnings....call your bank and report this
immediately.

Times have changed over the years. It is suggested that you
no longer attach outgoing mail to your mailbox for pickup.
Instead, deliver it directly to an official Post Office or
postal collection box. This is one of the easiest ways a
thief can steal your identity.

If you notice that your regular bills have stopped coming,
find out why. Call the company to verify. Someone could
have filed a false change of address to re-direct your
information to his or her address.

------------------------------------------------------------

By protecting yourself using these simple steps, you can
help prevent would be identity theives from accessing and
gaining your identity.

These days Identity Theft is making HUGE headlines in the
News. Always be on guard to detect and prevent any would-be
theieves from stealing your Identity. No one wants to suffer
malicious damages caused by someone posing as you or
cleaning out your bank accounts, running up debt on credit
cards, or any number of other unauthorized acts.

These threats are REAL ! Hundreds of thousands of people
are victimized by these crimes every year.

Promotion Frustrations

Authored By Larry Johnson

How many times have you been frustrated with your
promotional efforts online ?

Let's face it...most folks working online are amateurs when
it comes to promotion. They simply don't come to the
internet prepared with the tools, experience and background
in advertising and promotion.

The learning curve can be pretty steep when it comes to
learning to promote effectively. There is a wealth of
information and resources available. In fact there are some
many helpful sites and resources that it is very easy to
become confused with the whole process.

Searching the internet for promotion resources provides you
with lots of sites and gurus who will promise you the moon
in exchange for your hard-earned dollars.

Finding a few dependable sites and trusted webmasters who
will act as a mentor in your learning process is one good
tactic to consider.

Personally, I have developed a small group of allies online
with whom I can discuss problems, find answers and bounce
my ideas off.

You will discover that the old adage, "Never get in a hurry
to buy or sell.", is still true today. You can easily run
out of money buying this and that amazing promotional
gimmick, software, service or product.

There is plenty to buy online, but there are tons of fr*e
resources available too.

Here are a few suggestions as you work through the process.

-- Be Organized

Set aside some time each day to work on your promotions.
Don't get caught up in surfing the net or other time-wasters.

-- Be Observant

What are other successful sites doing to promote their
businesses. If it works for them, chances are it will work
for you too.

-- Be Creative

There are lots of ways to promote. Not all of them have
been used yet. Do some brain-storming each day to get
the creative thoughts flowing.

-- Be Determined

Working online can be downright discouraging for many
who expected to find the gold at the end of the rainbow
just by building a site and throwing up some affiliate links.

While the learning curve for learning to promote effectively
online is a steep one, you can do it with some determination
and with little damage to your pocketbook
by being selective in the resources you choose to use.

Where will your promotional efforts be one year from now?
Will you still be doing the same ol' thing ? Or are you
now ready to put into practice a plan of action that will
bring you some great results ?

The Power You Possess

Authored By Maren Cruickshank

What you need to understand is that there is no barrier to what is possible. It doesn't matter what it looks like. Everything that you desire is possible. Everything! The force of creation that you possess allows you to create anything you desire even though it doesn't exist as yet. You possess the power and no one can take it away from you. The force of creation is working within you at all times creating your life from your beliefs. Your beliefs affect your attitude, actions and your results.

For you to give up on your dream is dumb because no one else can create them for you.

You are the creator. You create your life. You are in the drivers seat. You make the choices. And you enjoy the rewards or suffer the consequences of your creations.

What are you creating? What tools of creation that were given to you are you using? Are you using them to their fullest potential to benefit your life?

What are your beliefs? Are you holding strong to the fact that you are the creator and there is nothing that can stop you? Do you really believe that?

Believe this:
You are the creator. God gave you the powers and permission to experience reality on this physical earth in a physical body and you have everything that it takes to create anything you want. You possess the powers. You are the creator. All that is needed for you to create things on this physical plane is for you to desire it strong enough so that it presses through to this physical plane.

If you were purely spirit (with no body) you'd have anything instantly with just one thought, because once you conceive it in your mind it instantly becomes a reality. All thoughts are 100% reality on the spiritual realm, but the physical plane slows things down and causes it to take time to manifest. To get it from a spiritual plane to a physical plane takes focus. Focusing your energies will bring forth any spiritual reality unto the physical realm. For you to doubt is to negate your desire. Fear will negate your desire. You need to keep that in mind.

Once you dream it, it exists.
Once you focus on the dream it becomes reality on the physical plane.
The choice is yours.

Repeat:
I will not doubt and I will not fear. The power is mine.

How to Organize Every Room in Your Home

Authored By Rebekah Slatkin

Let's talk about how to actually get you started organizing. If your home is full of clutter, these formulas will get you on the right path, even if nothing else has worked for you in the past. If you are already organized, you'll still benefit by further tweaking and beautifying your home.

I'd like to present the two formulas I find work best for most people. The first formula is my own creation; it's named DECORganize, and it is an innovative and counterintuitive approach to organizing. The second formula is Julie Morgenstern's concept of SPACE, presented in her book, Organizing from the Inside Out.

Backwards Organizing
When I go into someone's home, I first DECORganize and then follow the SPACE formula. DECORganize essentially involves creating "niches" – that is, oases of simplicity, balance, and beauty in your home. DECORganize works best with clients who feel overwhelmed and unmotivated to sort through the clutter or tackle the piles of paper. I say to them, "Let's do a blitz." We then immediately rearrange the bedroom, for example, to create a more cozy look. We might add a colorful new quilt or create a nook for photographs or a beautiful makeup/dressing area, using items scattered throughout other rooms.

What do we do with the clutter while we're doing a blitz? Well, I take my arm and push it all into a box! Just get it out of sight! Working with a blank canvas is so much more inspiring then rearranging the clutter over and over again.

DECORganize is a little backwards, you may think. Decorating before decluttering? Unheard of! I stand by my theory. People who haven't been able to organize in the past are most likely creative people. They like beautiful things and have dreams in their head of how they want their home to look. Yet following systems seems boring to the creative person, and setting up systems is typically what traditional organizing methods require.

For these people, I prefer to think of creating beautifully, clutter-free, decorated areas rather than systems. Systems will come naturally when you walk by the areas and love them, thus keeping you feeling motivated to keep the areas consistently clear. You will no longer feel like organizing is a drag.

If you want to kill two birds with one stone, you can sort through the clutter while doing a blitz. Keep one laundry basket, two boxes, and a box of trash bags nearby. The laundry basket is for items that go in other rooms, the boxes are for giveaways, and the trash bags are for trash. Take everything off the counters, one item at a time, and follow the SPACE formula.

Making SPACE

S is for Sort: As you handle each item, ask yourself, "Do I love this? Have I used it this year? If you decide it's important to you, put it aside and group it with similar items.

P is for Purge: If you decide this item needs to go, get rid of it, whether by trashing, donating, or selling.

A is for Assign: Assign a "home" for the item. For instance, are the books going on the shelf or in the drawer? In the living room or in the study? The place should be logical, accessible, and safe.

C is for Containerize: This is where you get to use those neat-looking organizers you see in the stores. They should be sturdy, the right size, attractive, and easy to use.

E is for Equalize: Spend about 15 minutes a day to maintain your work.
You must follow the SPACE formula in order. You wouldn't want to buy a six-foot tall bookcase for all your books before sorting through the books to see if you still need them or whether they fit!

The following areas in your home need special focus. No matter what your motivation for organizing, a lot of your housework can be put on autopilot, if you create a spot for each of these items.

Mail: Keeping all your incoming and outgoing mail in one location prevents paper pileup. For incoming mail, you can get tiered trays from an office supply store, and designate each tray for a different category of mail: e.g., bills, medical reimbursements, papers to file. Check the tray frequently to see if something is due. You can tag bills with those tiny neon-colored stick-it notes to remind yourself when to take care of it.

For outgoing mail, keep all your supplies together. Nothing deters you from taking care of correspondence as much as having to conduct a 20-minute search for stamps or envelopes. DECORganizers may want to use a designer picture box filled with stamps, envelopes, tape, scissors, a couple of pens, and whatever else you need.

Receipts and coupons: Establish a system for receipts. You can use an expandable check file and label each section according to store, credit card, or type of purchase. Think about where you would look to find it if you needed it.

Library books and videos: Keep anything that incurs a fine in one location. For DECORganizers, I usually suggest a wicker basket or planter near the front door.

Magazine basket: Keep magazines in a basket, and when it gets too full, sort and purge. There are many aesthetically pleasing boxes or bins to hold magazines. It doesn't need to be from Office Depot.

Keys: Do you waste a lot of time desperately searching for your keys? It may sound obvious, but the solution is to always put your keys in the same place every time you walk in the house! A pretty bowl on a console table near the front door would serve nicely.

Gifts: I like having extra gifts on hand for those last minute necessities. Devote a bookcase or a few closet shelves for this purpose. Although this may sound insensitive, I also save in this location items given to me that I don't particularly like and recycle them to others who might like them. I do not allow my home to become cluttered with such gifts and the guilt that goes along with not using them.

CDs/DVDs: Believe it or not, I have seen media take over much floor and counter space when no specific place is designated for it. Devote one piece of furniture with drawers to contain all of your media. You can use a storage ottoman or specialized media cabinets. Check out my website for a list of reviews on such products (www.cluborganized.com).
Notebook: If your mind keeps racing with all the things you need to do, then get your thoughts down on paper. Get rid of the mental clutter that occupies your head. For my creative people, buy a beautiful journal.

Establishing Routines
After creating a "home" for the common items mentioned above, it's a good idea to make routines out of the most important aspects of running a home:

Grocery shopping and cooking: Keep a running grocery list on the front of your pantry or refrigerator, writing down items as you need them. Spend an hour once a week to plan all the meals for that week, along with a list of the ingredients you need. Be sure to add those ingredients to your grocery list. Designate the same day each week to go grocery shopping.

Laundry: Getting laundry done regularly is one of the most important routines. Part of your success is simply having a convenient spot to do the laundry, with the proper supplies on hand.

Designate two days a week to do laundry, or if it works better for you to throw a load in each morning, that's fine, too. Make sure you have laundry baskets for each person in the bedrooms and a large sorter basket in the laundry room. That way, each person can bring his or her their basket into the laundry room on laundry day and sort it by color. Or, have a laundry sorter on the main floor and have everyone bring down his or her laundry each morning.

Your laundry room can also be DECORganized. There are so many lovely pictures of laundry rooms in magazines. The key is comfort. Good lighting, a rug for your feet, a bowl to collect trinkets in pockets, artwork, and whatever else will make you feel better about doing the laundry.

Cleaning: In terms of a cleaning routine, you have a lot of flexibility. You can designate one day a week for general cleaning, in addition to cleaning for a half hour every morning and evening. Think like a restaurant server: put away after using, wash dishes, and wipe down dirty surfaces. If you do this steadily, you will not need to do a heavy duty cleaning very often.

I hope that by making these few changes in these specific areas, you'll notice your housework lessen. Creating beautiful niches in your home will ultimately keep you from adding more clutter to them. I hope you smile every time you walk by.
