Starting Your Own Home Business

Authored By Walter Boyd

While getting advice when you start a home business, it can be easy to get confused. Chances are you don't know anyone else that has started a home business, and you may not know where to go for help.

First go online. The Internet is a great resource for people who have a home business. You can find articles and newsletters with information and advice. There are also many message boards, forums and blogs where you can read, ask questions, and get advice from other SOHO (home business) owners. It is easy enough to use your favorite search engines to find lists of any of the above sources. Sample a few and continue to use the ones that strike your fancy.

Go to your local library. Speak with the librarian. Libraries contain all sorts of home business books and resources. Your librarian should be more than happy to help you do research, and point you in the direction of the most popular resources.

Find a mentor. They are usually volunteers who have had great business success, and will be glad to help you start up a new business. They often have years of experience and can be really helpful. Most cities have organizations for business owners, and members can answer your questions. Try to avoid the "big bucks" coaches who like to flash the hype online. Don't even think about paying one until you've seen some references.

The SBA... The Small Business Administration provides a multitude of material about starting your own SOHO business. Visit http://www.sba.gov ... The Federal Trade Commission's web site has many resources too. Become familiar with the basic legalities at http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/businessinfo/consumer.htm ...

Depending on where you live, you might find local government agencies that will give you free help and advice. Check your local yellow page listings for a small business center in your area. Also, do an online search for any specific topic you may need more information about. Don't overlook local colleges and universities. In particular, check their schedules for free or inexpensive public service classes, workshops, and seminars.

Your bank should have been the first place you went if you were thinking of starting a business. While they're no replacement for accountants, most banks will have a business advisor on staff to help you open a business account. They can be especially helpful with the technical and financial elements of starting your business. Before signing up for a merchant account anywhere else, check with your bank's business services department. They are often much cheaper than independent companies. Furthermore, establishing and cultivating a relationship with a local commercial bank is one of the smartest things you can do for your business!

Lawyers know all about starting a new business, of course. It can be well worth paying for an hour of a lawyer's time and just asking them every question you can think of. Look around, you may even be able to get a free consultation.

Accountants also know all about business, and can be a less expensive alternative to lawyers. If you want your business to be profitable, you should take the advice your accountant gives you. If you don't have one, you should get one. It is very important to at least get your business' books set up by an accountant with knowledge of your particular field.

Intuit's QuickBooks Pro and Microsoft's Small Business Accounting are excellent tools to assist you with managing a SOHO business. They can produce an accurate record of just about everything you'll need to know at tax time. They also give you a very precise report about how your business is performing at any given time and, more importantly, provide you with a snapshot of how your business is performing relative to other time periods. The included tutorials are also excellent ways to enhance your knowledge of both accounting and business.

Depending on your individual circumstances, you may need to look for investors. There are people who back businesses in order to make their own living. If you think your business would be attractive to investors, then you can try going to an investor with your idea. If they like it, they will often have a quick, smooth process set up to have your company up and running as soon as possible. If they don't, they can explain why they think you might be assuming too much risk in your new venture.

Visit your local universities. They are full of business students. They spend all their time learning about business, and many of them would just love to help get a real one off the ground. Business students can be a great source of free help and advice. They also will have access to research that may prove invaluable in making complex decisions.

Remember, whatever industry you're thinking of entering probably has some kind of trade association, society or union. You should join one as soon as you can, and take advantage of all the resources that they offer to people getting started in their industry. We recommend iCOP, the International Council of Online Professionals for anyone who operates an internet business. Local Better Business Bureau offices are also excellent business associations

There is an endless supply of help and advice out there. Just don't be afraid to ask! But do weigh the advantages and disadvantages of any given source.

This article may be reprinted online or off as long as the resource box listed below is included.

The Importance of Relevant Keywords

Authored By Lyn Leckie

We have all heard of them "keywords" but what are they really, the best way to put it is, what is the word or phrase people will put into the search engine to locate your site. Once you have decided on what keyword you want to use. The best way to decide on what keyword to optimise your site for is to use a keyword selector tool put in your phrase or keyword and it will bring up a list of keywords and how many times those keywords were searched for within the month. If your keyword was searched a lot meaning in the hundreds of thousands of times then I would suggest you look down the list and find a phrase similar but not searched as much. The reason for this is that there would be too many websites optimised for your keyword.

Your keyword must be in your meta tags of your website. If you open up your website and go to view and click on source you will see a whole lot of writing and if you read it from the top you will see meta name="keyword" content etc this is where your keywords have been placed for your website. You can change your keywords by logging into your website hosting panel and changing them to be more in keeping with your chosen keyword or phrases. You must then optimize your site so that your keyword can also be found within your website as you would be penalized by the search engines if you have a keyword or phrase which is not anywhere on your website.

Keywords are very important they help the search engines to identify your site for searchers. You must optimize your site for your chosen keyword. I use a top 10 optimizer for my site so that I can get within the top 10 sites for my chosen keywords.

It is important to note that you should optimize your site and have your keywords inserted correctly before you submit to the search engines. The search engines will recheck your site but it may take 30 days for them to come back to your site so ensure it is optimized before you submit. It is also important to ensure you have content on your website that has your keywords embedded in it. It could be articles or items for sale, links or pictures.

Another important note is that search engines like Google read your website from top left to right bottom so try and ensure your keyword is used in the upper left hand corner and the bottom right hand side of your page.

What Are You Working For?

Authored By Matthew Tibble

It's 7.00am on a Monday Morning, and you reach over to hit the snooze button on your alarm clock one more time, before you roll out of bed to begin the process of getting ready for another day at work.

Let me ask you a question – is that you?

The reality is that it is everybody at one time or another. But what is it that energizes those of us that are successful into beating that alarm clock up in the morning. That is, in getting out of bed and ready to face the day before that alarm clock has even considered giving its morning wail?

As simple as it sounds, it is their passion for what they want to achieve.

You see, successful people have decided to plan for a future they want to see become a reality. Many people will spend their entire life wishing that their dreams and ideal lifestyle become real, but never plan or begin working to achieve it. Successful people have decided to act TODAY to see a change in their tomorrows.

Not only have these successful people planned their approach to the life that they want to see become a reality, but they have figured out *why* they want it. And that is the secret to unlocking your potential in everything you ever do in your life.

For example, if you are a stay-at-home mum, you no doubt work more than 8 hours a day, feel overwhelmed at times from the pressures of managing a family and home environment, and worry about the future for your children. There are days when you wish you didn't have to get out of bed - to do all those things you feel you must do but don't want to. But, if you spent some time looking at what gets you through those moments, it is the desire to see your children and family have a lifestyle that they are comfortable in and feel nurtured in. This is why you do what you do – early starts, late finishes, and dealing with the drama of life in-between.

It doesn't matter whether you run your own business, work for someone else, or support somebody who goes to work for someone else; we are all working or doing an activity for something. If you were to ask yourself, your family or your friends, why they are doing what they are doing (working), here might be some common answers:

* For the money
* For a promotion
* To have a holiday
* Because that's what you have to do
* Their parents taught them that's what they should to

Instead of waking up each morning and going about the motions of working, paying your bills and keeping your head above water only to do it all over again, decide to make a change. Take some time to look at what really motivates you. What would empower you to jump (literally) out of bed each morning and face the day with a smile on your face and excitement in your veins?

Here are some ideas for you to consider:

* Is it to help a community or charity?
* Is it to realize your dreams and start your own business?
* Is it so that you have more time in your life to spend with family?
* Is it to provide a future for your children that you never had?

You will find that the underlying motivation for those of us that are actively pursuing their dreams is the desire to help and contribute to others. This might be the loving mother, business owner helping other businesses achieve their goals, or somebody keen to support a charitable cause. Whatever it is, it involves an element of giving back to someone else.

By deciding to plan for your future, get motivated about it, and be actively pursing your goals, you very quickly find that you have all the energy and passion you need. Life becomes a game, and you made the rules. So get out there and find out what you are working for, and make your dreams for tomorrow become your reality for today.

Choosing Your eBook Compiler

Authored By Bryan Quinn

This is written for those of you that want an alternative to creating an ebook in PDF format.

It is not the purpose of this article to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of ebook compilers with products like Adobe Acrobat. However, before continuing, it is necessary to explain one important difference between them.

To do this considers these two definitions.

An ebook compiler is a software application that converts a document to an executable (.exe) file. The file (or ebook) that is created is a stand-alone file. This simply means that no other software application is required to execute (or read) it.

Adobe Acrobat is a software application that converts a document to a readable (PDF) file. The file (or ebook) that is created is not stand-alone. It requires an application like Adobe Reader to open (or read) it. Now that this is established, we can concentrate on the choice of ebook compiler.

Your choice will depend on what format you have written the content for your ebook. Examples are plain text, HTML, MS Word or MS PowerPoint. If you have used HTML to write your content and want to compile an ebook from HTML code, you may need a working knowledge of the HTML language for some of the available compilers.

There are many ebook Compilers available today. The choice can be very confusing and it can often be difficult to choose one that is right for you. Here are a few pointers.

Ease of Use

If an easy to use compiler is your main priority, check that an instruction manual or adequate documentation is included with the compiler. If this is not included, you may find it time consuming to learn how to use the compiler correctly.

Security

If you wish to sell your ebook, good security features are important. As well as basic features like protecting your eBook content from modification or limiting a reader's viewing or disabling printing, you may want to implement other security features. Passwords, encryption and ebook disabling are only a few of the many security features available.

Features

It is a good idea to find out what features are supported with the ebook compiler. You may want to add graphics and hyperlinks, customize menus, create forms, add audio and video or perform other functions that are important to you. Some compilers offer very sophisticated features and complete plug-in capabilities for flash, java and shockwave.

Price

Your choice of product may depend on what you are prepared to pay. Although not always the case, you can expect to pay more for compilers that have more features. If you are not concerned about the cost, bear in mind that more features do not necessarily mean a better compiler. You may have no use for many of them or you may feel that some extra features complicate your requirements. For this reason it is better to know what your requirements are before making a final choice.

Requirements

Give some thought to your requirements. If you are considering an HTML based compiler, find out if it requires a browser to function. If it does, check to see what browser versions are supported. You may need to check your browser settings and configure your browser according to the compiler specifications.

Whether you intend to sell your ebook or distribute it freely, security is of major concern. This is after all the main reason for using a compiler. Your choice of compiler should offer at least the level of security that matches your requirements. All compilers have basic security features but some have features that go beyond most peoples needs. How secure you make your ebook is your choice.

Ensure that the compiler you choose is compatible with your operating system. For example some older compilers do not function with Microsoft XP service pack 2 (SP2) without a software patch.

Support

Good support for your chosen ebook compiler could be critical to your success. Check the conditions of any support that is offered. Find out if there is a service level agreement for the compiler software or if there is grace period for free technical support.

Check how long the compiler has been on the market. Although not always the case, generally the older compilers are more likely to be bug free. It is also worth looking for testimonials if the compiler has been around for a while.

Finally, download a demo of the compiler if possible before you buy it.

Patience and Persistence Is the Key to Success

Authored By Rebecca Beasley

A lot of people think they can get online and sign up for free programs and they will just magically start receiving huge checks in the mail and never have to work another day at a "real" job. But after a few weeks of being online they find out that it's not as easy as it sounds and they want to give up.

Anything you do that's worth doing is going to take hard work, attention to details, patience and persistence. That means listening to the advice of people who have been where you are, paying attention to what they tell and, and applying what you learn to your every day online experience.

You need patience to be willing to wait for it to happen, and you can't have that "now or never" attitude and expect to get anywhere with online marketing. It takes starting from the bottom and working your way up the next level, and you've got to look further down the road than the next get rich scheme you can find. You've got to start thinking about where you were five years ago and where you can be in the next five years if you take the time now to make the changes you need to make in order to succeed.

I can't say this enough. Nothing worth doing is easy. If you want to be successful you're going to have to sacrifice your time and your talents to get the job done. And you're going to run into problems. That's just life, but when you take the time to find the solutions to each problem that comes along, and you consistently solve the problems and consistantly strive to reach your goals, taking baby steps if you need to, you will reach them.

Every day you must do the tasks that lead to success.
You've got to find the right tools to get whatever job you want to do done.

You have to learn from successful people, and you've got to know the rules so that you don't break them and set yourself back even further.

Marketing is an extremely demanding income producer. But it produces more income than most doctors and lawyers earn if it's done properly and given the time to do it right, it can make you richer than any other career you could think of.

But done improperly, it can break your pocketbook, and make you look like a fool in the eyes of people you never even met.

Doctors and attorneys make a lot of money, but they spend a lot of money getting there, and they dedicate endless hours of labor to their work and before they make their first dollar, they spend thousands of dollars in education, purchasing the tools they use and paying employees to help run their offices, and they have to hire people to take care of their money, people to protect their interests and protect them from law suits, and many other expenses, not to mention paying back for college loans and everything else they have to pay in order to practice their field.

A marketer who pays attention to details and learns their trade well can come out on top without ever spending a dime if they play their cards right.

Just the education alone is worth spending hundreds of dollars for.But you can learn it for free and spend a few bucks a month in order to make thousands. Just don't let the hype get to you. Stick to programs that offer you free marketing tools, free lessons, and free membership.

Once you're learned how to do some of the tasks you need to do, then you'll want to spend a few bucks and upgrade to a higher level. Start earning a little bit at a time and don't spend what you earn on junk. Save it for the right moment when you can get a lifetime membership in one of the programs you're doing for one price.

Learn to get referrals in the programs that pay you as an affiliate and use the money you make to buy better marketing tools and advertising.

But don't fall for the smoke and mirrors..flashy websites, too good to be true promises and snake oil charmers. Be realistic in your expectations and take the advice that is given to you from people who have been there for a long time and have shown levels of success that you admire.

Stick to your guns. You'll find that success isn't far from you. Count each small milestone you cross as a success, and start building each step into a thousand mile walk that will lead to the ultimate success.

You will get there. If you fall, pick yourself up, brush yourself off, and start all over again.

What Are Our Own Perseptions?

Authored By John Elliott aka Oaky Wood©2006

Yes exactly what are our own perceptions, all to often we allow our past to rule our today's, and govern what we will become tomorrow. We are told we are useless by our piers so we go through life believing in that concept. Never wanting to change through fear of ridicule or actual failure and the inevitable, "I told you so's" We can all aspire to whatever we wish, but yet we must cast away those threads of doubt haunting us from our past. Only you can control the power others have over you. Happiness does come from within, and being self aware, of being happy with what, and who you are, only then can you be the real you, only then will you achieve your goals.

One of the best ways to dispel these fears of failure is to look within yourself for the one thing you are really good at, be it looking after children or being a friend or a poet, you may be good at relating facts to others, a storyteller maybe. It could be a hobby, painting for instance or drawing, do you like cooking or baking, or even charitable pursuits. Even the smallest thing can be elevated. A sport or health and fitness, literally anything you are good at can help change the way you are, or the way yourself and others perceive you

My own parents told me I was nothing more than a miner's son, and should accept this fact, and not rock the boat by trying to be anything more than this. My education was basic state education where we were all taught to be miner's sons and carry on the tradition laid down by our forefather's or be happy prissy little housewives, prepared for nothing more than stay at home and raise a brood of kids.

Taking that one element you can then aspire to greater levels and create inner happiness and the self-esteem builds on the success you are then creating for yourself.

Everyone is good at one thing the trick is finding that one small thing you can build on. We often go through life never realizing what our one talent actually is and often it really does take a friend to point this out, so do listen when they say, "You're really good at this or that aren't you". My own, one thing, I was always good at was art, and yes all through my life my friends have always given my artwork praise. Oh! I wished I'd listened, for it was not until much later in life that I actually started to believe them. As an adult learner in the UK I went to college, my confidence grew as I found my many hidden talents, not just the one. Surrounded by creativity on all sides, praises for my efforts and the success's in the final exams, gave me the life skills I was missing for so long, so its never to late to change these negative ways and attitudes.

Once you yourself begin on the road to building success's, the pat's on the back the well done's all add to your inner state of well being. And success builds confidence and your inner happiness grows with it. Your past fears are then history and can only hurt you if you let them. I still have days of self doubt even today, and I slip into depressions, but never for too long as my inner confidence and overall well being brings me back to my senses and the realization that it is all in my own mind and nothing more.

7 Useful Web Statistic Tips

Authored By Alden Smith

Understanding what your visitors do on your site is crucial information. If your visitors proceed to purchase a product but then a large majority leaves the site when they get to a specific page in the order process, you need to know about it. It could be that this page is confusing or hard to use. Fixing it could increase your sales by 200%. This is just an example; there are many reasons why you want a detailed analysis of your site visitors.

Most website hosting services offer a stats package that you can study. If you're not sure where this is, call up your hosting service and ask them. Statistics are a vital part of tracking your marketing progress. If you don't have access to website statistics get a package that can help you in this area. Do not get a counter that simply shows how many visitors you've had. You'll be missing out on vital information that can help strengthen weaknesses in your site.

A good website hosting service offers traffic logs that provide an invaluable insight into the traffic being referred to a web site from various sources such as search engines, directories and other links.

Unfortunately traffic tracking provided by web hosting services is often in the form of raw traffic log files or other difficult to understand cryptic formats. These log files are basically text files that describe actions on the site. It is literally impossible to use the raw log files to understand what your visitors are doing. If you do not have the patience to go through these huge traffic logs, opting for a traffic-logging package would be a good idea.

Basically, two options are available to you and these are: using a log analysis package or subscribing to a remotely hosted traffic logging service. A remotely hosted traffic logging service may be easy to use and is generally the cheaper option of the two. WebTrends Live and HitsLink are two good, remotely hosted, traffic-monitoring services worth considering. However, WebTrends Live is a more complicated system and is suitable for larger ecommerce websites. "SuperStats" is another recommended traffic logging service.

These services do not use your log files. Typically a small section of code is placed on any page you want to track. When the page is viewed, information is stored on the remote server and available in real time to view in charts and tables form.

Log analysis packages are typically expensive to buy and complex to set up. Apart from commercial packages there are also some free log analysis packages available, such as Analog.

A good traffic logging service would provide statistics pertaining to the following:

1. How many people visit your site?
2. Where are they from?
3. How are visitors finding your site?
4. What traffic is coming from search engines, links from other sites, and other sources?
5. What keyword search phrases are they using to find your site?
6. What pages are frequented the most - what information are visitors most interested in?
7. How do visitors navigate within your web site?

Knowing the answers to these and other fundamental questions is essential for making informed decisions that maximize the return on investment (ROI) of your web site investment.

The most important aspect of tracking visitors to your website is analyzing all the statistics you get from your tracking software. The three main statistics that will show your overall progress are hits, visitors and page views. Hits are tracked when any picture or page loads from your server on to a visitor's browser. Hits, however, can be very misleading. It is quite an irrelevant statistic for your website.

The statistic that is probably the most important for a website is Page Views/Visitors. This gives you a good indication of two things. First, how many people are coming to your site, and secondly how long are they staying on your site. If you have 250 visitors and 300 page views you can figure that most visitors view one page on your site and then leave. Generally, if you're not getting 2 page views per visitor then you should consider upgrading your site's content so your visitors will stay around longer.

If you see the number of visitors you have increasing as well as the number of page views per visitor increasing then keep up the good work! Always look for this stat as an overall barometer of how your site design is going and if your marketing campaigns are taking hold.
Also, a good stat to look for is unique visitors. Once a person visits your site they will not be added to the unique visitors' category if they visit again. This is a good way to track new visitors to your website.

Page views are a good indication of how "sticky" your website is. A good statistic to keep is Page Views divided by the number of Visitors you have. This statistic will give you a good idea if your content is interesting and if your visitors are staying on your site for a long time and surfing.

Some people are intimidated by web traffic statistics (mostly because of the sheer volume of data available), but they shouldn't be. While there are many highly specialized statistics that can be used for more in-depth web traffic analysis, the above areas alone can provide invaluable information on your visitors and your website performance. Remember- this data is available for a reason. It's up to you to use it.

Starting A Home Business

Authored By Monika Nguyen

First thing you need to know before starting your own business is you must do your research! There are many great home business opportunities out there; you need to be cautious in choosing a business that is right for you. Find one that suits you best one that you have interest in because you will need to spend a lot of time on that business, and most importantly, you will need to find a business that is legitimate. There are countless numbers of home business offers over the Internet today and majority of them will require you to pay a fee to start. Most people will choose the lower fee to start their business and end up failing due to the lack of information given. An on line business is not as easy as many advertisements say it is. You will not get rich over night and that is the truth!

Here are some good examples of how people make money on line:

Become an affiliate
Become a hosting reseller
Sell products on line
Buy/Sell on line auctions
Get paid to take surveys
Get paid to read emails
Get paid to surf the web
Get paid to shop
Make money with adsense

Those are only a few examples of how you can make money on line. If you want to start a home business the best advice for you is to find a system that many on line entrepreneurs are currently using, a system that is proven to work, find out what made them become successful with their home business, what methods they use that makes them thousand of dollars a month by simply purchasing their system (remember nothing good is for free) if you are clueless about how to start your own home business you will definitely need a guide. Now follow step by step instruction that is given to you, read the information carefully and remember not to give up half way because if you do you will not succeed.

Another good advice for you is focus on your business and stick to one until you see results, you will fail if you try to do too many at once. Without a guide though one may be lost in choosing the right business opportunity, with many scams circling around the Internet these days one may end up spending their money buying information that is worthless to them and they are back where they started; still looking for that one right home business.

The best part about on line business is you have more free time to do the things you want to do and you can also easily access your business anywhere in the world using the power of the Internet.

Now there are two types of business opportunity one is short term and the other is long term. For example taking on line survey is consider short term the more you take time to fill out a survey the more you earn, some survey companies pay you cash and some give out rewards and prizes. There are many resources to take free surveys on line and yes you do get paid for your opinion! Watch out for scam survey sites that require you to pay a fee to join.

Now if you are looking for a long term home business you should look into starting your own website. You could sell products or information with your own domain name or you can sign up with google adsense and write your own articles on a subject you like. You can also sign up with google adwords and start advertising as an affiliate. The opportunities are endless!

Remember with most home businesses it will take at least 1-3 months before you really start seeing results but in the end it will all pay off. It's a great feeling once you start seeing great income with your home business that is of course you have worked to get there. Don't believe in any get rich scheme you see out there, as I have said you will not get rich over night. Best of luck to you on starting your own home business!

How Much Importance Do You Place on Your Skin and Toxins?

Authored By Alfred Jones

I am sure that most of you will know that your skin is the largest organ of your body, the skin can absorb chemicals in to your blood stream which in turn, will be distributed through out your body system.

Many people assume that your skin is watertight and therefore is a protective cover, well it certainly is a protective cover, but it is unable to keep out chemicals either toxic, or non - toxic. That is why there are such medicinal patches like Hormone Replacement Therapy, or Nicotene patches to help you stop smoking, the chemicals are absorbed slowly through the skin.

Most homes and bathrooms are loaded with toxic chemicals, the first one to think of, is your Deodorant, these are designed to penetrate your skin, it has also been suggested that this is the link to why women's breast cancer rate is on the increase, along with many other chemically induced illnesses and irritations.

I know that a large number of so called experts deny this theory, perhaps some of them have vested interests and sometimes the research has been sponsored by the companies that manufacture these toxic products.
A recent study showed that the connection between chemically loaded deodorants and breast cancer were examined and it was found that a disproportionately high incidence of breast cancer occurs in the area where deodorants are applied, a scientist described the area as the upper outer quadrant of the breast.

Antiperpirants and deodorants contain a high percentage of chemicals known to have a number of toxic effects, which includes, aluminium salts, parabens (phydroxybenzoic acid) phthalates, butylated hydroxytoluene, and many others with scientific names that have never been studied for their long term effects or safety.

Why don't we do something about it, well unfortunately we are all a little apathetic, most of these toxins are low dose and have an effect in the long term, if they don't kill you the minute that you use them, or they don't burn you or make you itch, or bring you out in a rash, why bother, its a long way down the track before anything will happen, so no demands are made upon the manufacturers of these products.

It was brought to my attention recently, a product in the United Kingdom with the brand name "Boots" a large old established Pharmaceutical company, it was made up of the following ingredients, Aqua, Cocamidoproply Betane, Sodium Laureth Sulphate, Sodium Chloride, Benzyl Alcohol, PEG-6 Cocamide, Citric Acid, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Parfum, Sodium Methylparaben.

What do you think the product was for? It was "Tearless, Baby Shampoo". We are using this on our small children.

What can you do about it? For a start, you can gradually change the products that you currently use, just do it one at a time as they run out, shop around and you will find that there are toxic and chemical free Antiperspirants, Deodorants, Shampoos, Hair Conditioners, Toothpastes, Soaps, Body Lotions, Moisturising Creams, just stop feeding your skin with all these toxins, when you really do not have to do yourself long term harm.

If you visit my websites there is more information on this subject, you can contact me, and I will forward you a free recipe to make your own Shampoo and Conditioner, that has no toxins or dangerous chemicals. We also have natural products that will help to restore your immune system.
Any questions you have please email me and I will try to answer you as soon as I can.

6 Steps to Effective Customer Relationship Management

Authored By Ettione Stuckey

CRM is critical, because research has proven that it's significantly more cost effective to keep existing customers than it is to acquire new ones. Basically, this fact is the driving force behind this industry. Companies spend money on CRM software and services to manage their valuable customer relationships. CRM allows you to target your customers by the items they buy, making it easier to up-sell and cross-sell them on other products.

Nurture Your Customer Relationships

Simply put, customer relationship management is a way of tracking and nurturing your customer relationships throughout the customer's life-cycle, as they move from prospect to customer, to repeat-buyer. Once a customer buys from you, it is much more profitable to make efforts to keep that customer, than it is to acquire a new one, because there is now trust between you. If your customer is happy with your product, then that customer is much more likely to buy from you again in the future, much more likely than a new prospect would be. That's why customer relationship management is so crucial.

Don't badger your customers to death with every product and affiliate offer you come across, especially if the products are unrelated to the product the customer originally purchased. Email your customers ONLY when you have something good to give them, some really helpful information, or when you have a really good, high-quality offer that would interest that particular customer. For instance, don't email your Internet Marketing customer a "Free Gift Certificate" to your gift store.

Automate Your Customer Relationship Management

Well, how do you automate customer relationship management in your e-business? You use email, and a dynamic database. You use auto-responders to stay in touch. I'm not talking about your regular auto-responders that deliver a vacation or "out of office" messages while you're away, either. I'm talking about sequential auto-responders.

Use Sequential Auto-Responders In Your e-Business

Sequential auto-responders allow you to pre-format and load a series of pre-typed messages to your prospects and customers. You benefit by not having to follow-up with these customers manually each time. Instead, your auto-responder delivers your messages on a timed interval set by you. To your customer, it looks as if you sent out each message yourself. This way, you stay in touch with your customer and not let them forget about you. When they have a need for one your products or services, your business will hopefully come to mind first and they will re-visit your site directly or by clicking a link in one of your emails, as a loyal repeat customer.

Personalize Your Messages for a Warm Feel! (Mail Merge)

Most decent auto-responders have mail-merge capabilities. This is the ability to merge personal information into your emails, like your customer's first and/or last name or their email address, etc. This personalizes your email messages even further and gives your customer some "warm and fuzzies". What's more you set all this up just one time, and any new prospects or customers will get the same message series without you having to lift a finger.

If the sequential auto-responder you're using has mail-merge capabilities, then it will automatically take that customers name and incorporate it into the email series you have set up. Usually the auto-responder service you're using will have some sort of tokens set up for this purpose. Look at the example below. Let's say your customer or prospect's name is Bob.

Hello, $firstname, - That translates into: Hello, Bob.

You could also do this with a customers email address too, like "$email". The token would be replaced with the customer's email: bob@bob.tld
Do you see the power of mail-merge?

Use Lead Capture and Subscription Boxes

For instance, you could set up a simple box on your sales or download page that asks the customer for his/her name and email address in return for some free product, or simply just to subscribe to your newsletter. If you set up a page specifically for this purpose this is called a "lead capture page". The information entered by the customer into your subscription box can be mail merged into the follow-up messages sent by your auto-responder.

Stay In Touch

Keep in contact with your prospects and customers. Set your auto-responder series to deliver your messages over an extended interval. There are several e-books and articles dedicated to this topic; however, if you want the first, most informative and still the king of auto-responder help, get "AutoResponder Magic". This e-book once sold for about $17, but you should be able to find it free many places on the 'Net. It has a plethora of information regarding auto-responders, as well as many examples you can build from.

I wish you much success!

5 Ways To Automate Your Site

Authored By Larry Johnson

Automating your online business is one of the most important steps you can take to insure your success on the Internet. If you have been on the internet for any time at all, you know that there are just too many tasks to do each day to be really efficient and productive with them all.

Learning to delegate some of those routine, daily activities is one way to insure your site's success and to give you much more time in the day for the most important task which is that of promotion and marketing your site.

HERE ARE 5 SIMPLE WAYS TO AUTOMATE TODAY:

1) USE AUTO-RESPONDERS:

Probably one of the best-known and popular ways to handle routine messages to inquirers is the use of auto-responders. It is simple and easy to set up your messages which usually involve several follow-up messages to remind your visitors what you are offering and how to find your site again.

Here are some free ones:

2) MAILING LIST MANAGEMENT:

If you are trying to run your own newsletter, handling the process
by yourself can eat up a lot of valuable time. In the beginning this may be possible, but as your list grows and the tasks involved keep multiplying, your time demands will increase also.

There are lots of ways to manage a mailing list including installing your own scripts and purchasing your own software. Weigh the pros and cons, but be sure and check out the possibility of *farming out* the responsibility to a mailing list service.

Here are some to consider:

3) USE SOFTWARE:

There are many software options available depending upon your work online. Here are some possible software applications available. Just do a search online.

~Creating links to your site and others.
~HTML editors
~Ad swaps
~Promotion
~Joint Ventures
~Subscription management
~Survey forms

4) PAYMENT SYSTEMS:

Well, this is just a no-brainer. It is just too simple not to do this one. Having an automated payment system that allows you to accept credit card payments for your products or services is something that everyone has to have to be successful online. Here are a couple of third-party ones that I use and recommend:

ClickBank-- http://www.ClickBank.com/
PayPal-- http://www.PayPal.com/

5) AD TRACKING SYSTEM:

If you are going to advertise your products and/or services online, then it is critical that you track your results.

Knowing how many hits you got to your site is nice, but it won't take care of your questions like, "Where did my traffic and sales come from?"

Here are some ad tracking systems.
(Some offer free versions.)

Implementing these five time-saving helpers is a very important benchmark in moving your business into a phase that will free up some time to insure your success online.

Best of luck with your promotional efforts.

You Must Push Yourself To See Results

Authored By Derek Beech

Much has been written in the world of bodybuilding and strength
training about the value of your last rep. You know, the idea
being that as your reps per set continue, your muscles will have
to exert themselves to their ultimate limit in order for you to
be able to squeeze out that last and most difficult rep.

Well, the concept is a valid one and if you quit and place your
weights down before you reach this point you are really just
cheating yourself out of achieving any gains because you haven't
pushed your muscle to the limits of it's capacity. And if it
isn't pushed to the limit, why should your central nervous system
bother triggering any sort of growth or adaptive response?

Our bodies tend to be inherently lazy and they really like to save
energy. So our bodies will not adapt and grow any new muscle
unless the muscles we have worked out are getting pushed to
their limits and they (your body's muscles) recognize that there
is a crystal clear requirement for more strength.

For Example:

Today in the gym I saw a guy put 185 lbs on a barbell and do six
to eight Bench Press reps without much difficulty, then he was
able to grind out two or three more with a little more effort,
then before his chest muscles reached their limit, he decided to
play it safe and quit early to more than likely avoid having the
bar drop on his chest. This of course is understandable, but in
reality a complete waste of his training time, if he was using a
power rack or had asked and gotten himself a trustworthy spotter
he would more than likely have genuinely strained to get that last
ounce out of himself and thereby stimulated new muscle growth.

Whatever, I thought to myself, this one particular fellow has
been stuck at the same level for years, and eventually a guy
just gets tired of trying to change somebody's mindset.

Any way's, the fact of the matter is that unless you are able to
push yourself above and beyond what your body say's it wants
to do, you are never going to be able to develop that rock hard
body you have been hoping for these last couple of years.

So try to remember, winter is the fitness season, and if you
decide to spend this winter pushing yourself to the limit, your
body will be in it's best shape ever when you reveal yourself
this spring in a brand new pair of shorts or muscle shirt.

Get Greater Profits with the Use of Blogs, RSS and Article Marketing

Authored By Evelyn Lim

One of the fastest ways to generate traffic to your site is with the use of blogs, RSS and article marketing. In addition, Bogs, RSS and article marketing are almost free to low cost, thus assuring you of greater profits.

Blogs are easy to set up quickly and can be on any topic imaginable. It is a good idea to set up a blog to cater to a particular niche market or to have one for your existing site. Combined with the use of RSS (Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary), your blog's online content can be turned into a RSS feed and syndicated (distributed) pretty easily. RSS creates a simple headline that if clicked on leads the reader to the full story. All the reader needs to do is to subscribe to your RSS feeds through a little orange button from your site with the aid of a RSS feed reader. Blog posts are usually short and if you post often enough, spiders from the search engines will come crawling more often.

Article marketing is simply writing articles about your niche area and submitting them to online article directories and ezine newsletters for publicity. At the bottom of the article, you are allowed to insert your author's resource box. This is where you write a few promotional lines about yourself and your site and include your site link.

You can use your blog posts to link to the articles that you have written. A good size article is usually longer at about 300-600 words compared to a blog post. By referencing your articles in your blog, you are giving them more publicity mileage. In fact, I highly recommend the use of article marketing to generate publicity for your site. It is almost free, save for article distribution costs that you may decide to purchase instead of submitting to the sites manually.

Many online article directories also offer RSS syndication from their sites. This provides an avenue for online visitors to subscribe to the RSS feed for a particular category that you have submitted your article to. Chances are some of them may also be looking for RSS feeds to be incorporated into their sites for their own website visitors. Others may simply be very interested in this category for their own personal consumption. A good example is if your article is on constipation and you submit your article under the category of "health". A webmaster may be on the lookout for RSS feeds for his health site. Or someone who is highly constipated may be particularly interested in what you post in your blog. Through the author's resource box in your article, they can find your site and the RSS subscription button to your blog posts and articles pretty easily.

Thus, RSS has the potential to give your blog great exposure to a wide audience of subscribers building a bigger readership in less time. If you also optimize your blog content and the articles that you write for your site at the same time with a good keyword strategy, then you will be assured of free search engine traffic. Lots of traffic plus huge readership can only mean greater profits!

Car loans – take your pick

Authored By Michael Challiner

You may be one of those fortunate folk who know precisely want they want when it comes to replacing your car. Or maybe you're the type who treks from garage to garage trying to find perfection. After a while all these cars merge into one and you can't remember which extra was standard with which car. Your wife and children threaten to leave home and the cat and dog are less than impressed too. Maybe at this stage you turn your only friend, the computer, for inspiration and surf the net for bargains. They're certainly there to be had, and as with most things nowadays, it's an easy way to go, with lots of help and advice available at the click of a mouse.

If the latter category is the one that describes you best you have our deepest sympathy.

When it comes to financing your choice of car, be it new or second hand, the means to finance it can be just as bewildering, but making the right choice can save you a great deal of money.

Interest free finance is worth considering. This is normally offered through dealers and tends to be restricted to new car buyers. If the car of your choice is covered by one of these deals then this will probably make your decision a lot easier. Often these deals ask for a fairly substantial deposit. Not all models are offered at nil or preferential rates and the one you want may in fact be at a higher interest rate than normal. It's all a matter of swings and roundabouts. If you're a "haggler" then it's unlikely you'll get both a discount and a good finance deal. The better option may be to get the very best discount you can on the car and then arrange your own hire purchase or personal loan.

Dealers will be happier if you opt for hire purchase. It's easy to arrange and offered on both new and used vehicles. As far as the dealer is concerned, they will earn a very nice commission from the finance company. Sometimes you'll be able to get an improved deal when they take this commission into account, which is why the question of how you'll be paying for the car crops up when you're seated in the chair, offered a coffee and the serious talking starts. Ownership of the car is not yours until the final payment, so you'll need a settlement figure if you decide to part exchange it for your next car.

You may decide to take a personal loan. This effectively makes you a cash purchaser. Remember that the dealer will prefer you to take the hire purchase route and make sure you do your sums, it's the final sum paid that matters at the end of the day.

Personal Contract Purchase is a fast growing area of car finance. An agreed deposit is made; usually equal to about three months repayments. You then pay on a monthly basis for an agreed period, often two or three years. At the end of this period you have a choice of returning the car or making a final payment and keeping it. You will be aware at the beginning of the agreement just what this figure will be and this is guaranteed provided you haven't exceeded the annual mileage allowance. Again this is per the agreement but usually estimated at around 12,000 miles per year.

Obviously with this arrangement the monthly payment will be lower than it would be with hire purchase, but the car is only yours after the final lump sum is paid. Many people stick with the same make of car and use this type of finance, returning the car and replacing it with their choice of a new model at the end of the term.

A simple lease deal may suit you even better. This is arranged through a leasing company. You negotiate the price for the car from whichever source you choose, and then agree the period of the lease, normally two to three years. Make a payment equal to three months of the agreed monthly repayment, set up your monthly payment source and at the end of the time you simply return the car and that's it. No hassle, no used car to sell. Choose, lease, pay and hand back.

So, the choice is yours. Careful comparison will pay dividends, make those comparisons and make your money work for you.

Enjoy your choice!

Genuine Work At Home Opportunities So You Can Quit Your Day Job

Authored By Arun Kumar

There are a number of ways to make money online, but relatively few of these openings will pay you enough money so that you can quit your job and work from home full time. They allow you the flexibility to do what you want, when you want and still earn the same amount or even more money than you did at your old job.

Although, many may be skeptical about how one can make money online, there are a few options that one looking to work online can choose from.

Freelancing as a writer or programmer and designer can often earn one tens of thousands of dollars annually, especially if you are well trained and have the skills and the marketing "know how" so that you can constantly find clients.

Affiliate programs where you are paid to promote the products of many companies are also another great way to earn money online. Obviously, if you can create your own product and promote it, that would be the ideal situation as you would be able to keep all revenue that you earn rather than just 10% or 20% of the total sale value.

Still, the most popular way that those who work online are earning a stable income is through the creation of web sites and the sale of advertisement space and the use of programs such as Google AdSense or the Yahoo Publisher network.

CONTEXT FREELANCING

For those who have worked to hone their skills in writing or web site design and creation, freelancing is probably the best online job opportunity. It allows them to run all aspects of their business from finding clients, completing the work, and/or subcontracting the work. Although this may be more work than if you worked in a team with a group of people, as a solo freelancer, you keep all of the money you make, rather than splitting it among the members/employees of your company. There are a numbers of freelance opportunities available today.

Content Writing
If you love to write and have strong writing skills, you should seriously consider offering a content writing service where you provide articles for magazines and web sites to publish.

Forum Posting
Forum posting is also another option. It involves contacting the owner of a new forum and to see if they are willing to pay for posts to help get their forum off the ground and boost activity. The best way to get a steady job forum posting is to visit webmaster forums where many of these owners are often searching for posters.

Webmaster forums are also a great place to find content writing jobs, but there are many other web sites that offer an up to date list of the latest content writing opportunities and thus these sites should be utilized as well. A content writer or forum poster who puts the time required to be successful into working can earn up to six figures annually.

Article Submission Service
Article Submission and Directory Submission is also a way that many freelancers can earn some extra money on the side. It involves submitting a web site to numerous web directories or submitting an article to many article directories. The purpose of this service is to help webmasters gain links to their web site.

Link Building Service
Direct link building is a great way that those who either own a large network of web sites or know someone who does can earn thousands online. Link building requires one to obtain back links to their client's web sites on other 3rd part sites. Link builders are usually paid at a flat rate per link that they secure and payment can range from $2-$10 a link and beyond.

Web design and Programming
Finally, for those who are familiar with web site design and programming, freelancers in the web site creation industry can get paid anywhere from $500 to $10,000 and more for a project depending on the amount of work required. This is one of the most lucrative online opportunities available, but to be successful, you will need to get the proper training so that clients are satisfied with your work and you are hired to take on larger, better compensating projects.

AFFILIATE MARKETING

Affiliate programs are another very popular way to make money online. One can create a web site and put utilize space on their web site by advertising a certain product. The advertisement will be a link to an eStore where the product is being sold, and if an affiliate is able to drive a customer to the eStore, the owner of the eStore will pay the affiliate a certain percentage of the sale. Many major companies, such as eBay, Sears, Wal-Mart, and hundreds of others that sell products online have affiliate programs.

To sign up for one of these programs, you should visit and sign up with Click Bank and Commission Junction. These are the two web sites that most companies who have affiliate programs use to keep track of earnings, and to be able to participate in affiliate programs, you will have to be a member of one of these two web sites. Recently, many affiliates are using pay per click advertising program such as Google AdWords where they pay a certain amount of money for each visitor who clicks on the advertisement. The advertisement is an affiliate link so if the one clicks on the link makes a purchase, you can earn money through affiliate programs without even creating a web site.

RUNNING WEBSITES

Finally, we reach the most popular way of making money online, running web sites. The key to building a successful web site is coming up with a new fresh idea so that you will draw traffic.

Once you have got an idea, the first thing you need to do is secure hosting at a popular and reliable web host, such as GoDaddy or BlueHost. You can sign up for an account and pay for a certain hosting plan. The more you pay, the larger a web site you can create and the larger your bandwidth is. If you are unsure about all the technical aspects of running and hosting a web site, you should check with your web hosting provider what plan is best for you and your needs. Your host will also help you get a domain and transfer all files to get your site up and running.

Once you have a site live on the Internet and you are marketing it and drawing traffic, it is time to think about monetization. With a web site, you can either sell your own products that customers can purchase online or create a website for a service, such as the ones mentioned above. Those who may not have as much time, often opt to create a web site, get traffic, and use a program such as Google AdSense where they are paid each time a visitor clicks on an advertisement. Webmasters may also sell links to advertisers directly to earn more revenue from their web site.

There are a lot of great online opportunities available on the Internet, and if you are willing to put in the time and effort requires, you can make enough to quit your regular full time job and work from home online.

Innovative Marketing Tips 2006

Authored By Laura Ghedotte

Innovation - is a talent that everyone has, yet they think they don't.

If you've ever marveled at somebody's creative prowess, guess what, you can create and innovate too. It just takes time. Everyone is born creative.

The box of crayons in kindergarten was not limited to only those who possessed potential; because the truth is, everybody has potential. You just have to resurrect it from within. You know how long it took to learn to ride a bike or drive or to never commit the same mistake again? It's the same with innovation.

It takes a bit of practice and a lot of time before this mind function comes easily when called.

This article will teach you a few tips on how to put innovation into your marketing ads online.

Outstanding creative spunky ads really get readers attention online.

Captivate your reader's attention with the innovative you.

Don't think you are creative?

I beg to differ.

You are a wonderful creative person.

Everybody has a creative genius within waiting to shine!

Let's getting going with a creativity exercise.

Creative thinking exercises can also help you in your quest be a more creative problems solver and to spawn multitudes of fantastic original ideas out of thin area.

Everybody expresses him or herself best in different ways.

How do you best express your ideas?

I like to connect with the paper and pen instead of typing away at my notepad.

I love creative writing and can sit and write for hour's non stop.

Here is one exercise to unleash your creative advertising ideas:

To get started take a piece of paper and write any word that comes to mind at the center.

Now look at that word then write the first two words that come to your mind.

This can go on until you can build a tree of related words.

This helps you build analogical skills and gets your creative processes going.

You will see how many interesting ideas flourish just from jotting down those first two words.

You can also read your ad out loud as if you were making a presentation.

Be very theatrical and dramatic about it too!

Don't just mumble to yourself.

Act as if... you were playing a part in a play.

Be emotive – move – use hand gestures – be animated
Don't just sit there.

Just as in any theatrical play or stage performance - the performers are very descriptive – emotive – and dramatically driven.

They want you to experience and feel.

They want you to get in the groove.

That's what you want – is for your readers to get in the groove.

You want that dramatic impact.

Collectively the visual and verbal connection will bring forth any gapping areas you need to correct.

Practice this concept when you are preparing your ads or need catchy headlines.

If you have a creative original marketing idea or angles go with it.

The more original and risk taking you are relying on your creativity the more you will generate new creative ideas at a drop of a hat.

If all the geniuses in history just merely listened to their peers, we would probably still be living in the middle ages.

Geniuses in history - knew how to follow the beat of their own drum.
Follow your own creative beat of your drum.

Find your own style.

You can always tell a Van Gogh from a Matisse.

You'll know Hemingway wrote something by the choice of words on the paper.

So it is the same with you create your own signature mark.

People will appreciate your innovation more because it is uniquely yours and that no one else would have thought of what you were thinking.

Here is your second exercise to spur your creativity:

This exercise will create hyper focus on one thing yet; instantly cause an avalanche of corresponding details and thoughts to emerge.

Are you ready?

Sit in a comfortable chair or what not.

Now place an interesting object about 5 feet away at eye level on a table or whatever you can use.

So here we are – you are sitting in your cozy chair starring at this interesting object.

Look at and only focus on this singular object.

Block out everything else.

Let your mind empty.

Now keep focusing on that object for at least 5 minutes.

During this focusing consider the following one by one:

- The objects color
- If the object is multi-colored focus on each color
- The objects shape
- The objects texture
- How the object smells
- How the object feels to the touch
- How does this object make you feel?

You can do the same experiment a little differently also by observing an object from multi-angles.

Each angle will reveal different characteristics you don't see from others angles.

This exercise clearly demonstrated that one entity is multi characteristic.
So one thing is not just describable in just one word there are many attributions that are attached to it.

Same principle applies to words.

For example let's take the word happy.

Write it down.

Now write everything you can attach to the word happy.

This can go on and on.

Your mind will generate ideas and interesting correlations.

This is what you want to do is to tap into all the different aspects of one thing – one word – one thought - one idea.

You can do this for objects - words - ideas.

Make your words and writing come alive.

The ……I'll kiss an elephant if - Analogy

I vividly recall reading one of Marlon Sanders ads about 2 years ago which read "I'll kiss an elephant if…. such and such doesn't work".

Marlon used that precise line in the headline as well.

You see the impact of innovation… it lingers and leaves an imprint on the readers mind.

That's what you want to do is to leave a lasting impression of innovative clever marketing footprints.

Combine your marketing offer with:

Humor:

State something funny you will do if product X doesn't work:

- I'll tap dance with a monkey..
- I'll eat a bucket of slippery worms.
- I'll do the chicken dance at McDonalds in the middle of the lunch rush hour

If you need ideas just flip on Fear Factor on the t.v.

You will never run out of ideas!

Fables:

Use the underlying lessons/ morals learnt from fables – parables

Example:

Invest your money now for a fruitful return to secure future!

Prepare for the future now!

Remember the old fable about The Ant and the Grasshopper?

The ant wisely prepared for the winter by collecting his food in advance.

When winter came the ant was prepared and had food to feed his family.

The grasshopper on the other made no preparation – why worry was his motto.

When winter approached the grasshopper was dying from hunger.

The moral of this story is: It is best to prepare for the days of necessity.

Be like the ant prepare now!

Avoid future financial disasters!

"The Ant and the Grasshopper"
Aesop's Fables
In a field one summer's day a Grasshopper was hopping about, chirping and singing to its heart's content. An Ant passed by, bearing along with great toil an ear of corn he was taking to the nest. "Why not come and chat with me," said the Grasshopper, "instead of toiling and moiling in that way?" "I am helping to lay up food for the winter," said the Ant, "and recommend you to do the same." "Why bother about winter?" said the Grasshopper; "we have got a lot of food at present." But the Ant went on its way and continued its toil. When the winter came the Grasshopper had no food and found itself dying of hunger, while it saw the ants distributing every day corn and grain from the stores they had in the summer. Then the Grasshopper knew: It is best to prepare for the days of necessity.

Cross Promoting Techniques that Work

Authored By Hassan Gurbuz

Cross promotions are not a new idea. They have been
used by businesses for a very long time. For example,
a real-estate company may promote a certain lawyer to
close a sale, as the lawyer will promote that agency
in his firm. The system is somewhat similar to the
primitive barter system, where people traded items
rather than using money. How can anything primitive
fit into the online world of Internet marketing? Very
easily. Cross promotions are, simply stated, a trade
of advertising space. Instead of paying for
advertising space on a site, you would place their ad
on your page and yours on theirs. There are many ways
to use cross promotions in your internet business that
can be an effective and cost efficient way to
advertise.

One way is to use link exchanges. This is very
effective when doing cross promotions with a company
that is similar to yours, however you should be sure
and never link to a page that is in direct competition
with yours. One of the best things about link
exchanges is that some search engines are factoring in
hits from the sites that are linked to your page to
when determining the ranking. Therefore linking to a
more popular site, can not only increase your
advertising, and traffic, but also increase your
search engine ranking.

When customers or potential customers subscribe to
your ezine you can use this as an opportunity to use
cross promotions. On the same page that the customer
subscribes to your ezine, make available the
opportunity to subscribe to another company's ezine.
You can even exchange ad space in ezines, and provide
recommendations for those whom you cross promote with.
You might even want to exchange column space in one
another's ezines.

Writing free articles that inform customers or
potential customers with information that is useful
and accurate can create a reputation for you and your
business. Soon readers will come to know you as an
expert on the subject. In these articles the author
uses a byline to help promote his site. Bylines can
be a way to use cross promotions as well. You can use
part of the space in your byline to recommend
another's product.

If you have been considering writing an ebook, a joint
venture could mean increased profits for you and the
person you are partnering with. Cross promotions
through ebooks are an excellent way to allow for a
wider topic and to promote both your business and your
partner's business. The ebook should contain
information that will benefit both businesses and
still be helpful to the reader. A good example of
using cross promotions through an ebook is to a site
selling used video games partnering with a site
selling gaming devices. These are two subjects that
would interest the same reader and most likely lead
the reader to both sites.

You should keep in mind that the recommendations that
you make are a direct reflection of you, so choose
your cross promotional businesses carefully. Also
keep in mind that it would be nice as a shopper to be
able to link from one site to another as a way to
"shop around." Since this is usually not beneficial
to you, never link or recommend a site that is in
direct competition with you. Instead, recommend those
who are similar, such as health and life insurance.

10 Ways To Boost Your eBay Business To PowerSeller Status

Authored By Mark Kenny

Going once! Going twice! Sold! Sound familiar? It's the sound of a traditional live auction but, thanks to the technology of today, you can buy and sell 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Many people have chosen eBay as a work-at-home career and many are quite successful at it. Gone are the days of having to wake up early and get out to the auction before all of the treasures are gone. These days, a world of treasures are no further than the click of a mouse.

Because many people list auctions each and every day, eBay offers PowerSeller recognition to qualified sellers. In order to be selected, you must generate an average of $1,000.00 in sales for 3 consecutive months. This will get you listed as an entry level PowerSeller and, as revenue increases so will your membership.

There are wonderful opportunities for the casual seller but, for individuals who are looking to earn some serious cash, here are 10 tips to get you started.

1. Find a niche and stick with it. If you want to sell collectibles, sell only collectibles. Buyers will recognize you as a specialized seller and respect your presence as a knowledgeable expert.

2. Sell what you know. If you are an expert in jewelry, make it your business. When people ask questions about your merchandise, they will feel comfortable dealing with someone who is so well-educated about their products.

3. Be competitive. Auctions start as low as $0.01, but avoid this method unless you use a reserve or can afford to take the chance. To be competitive, you need to offer one of the best opening prices, reasonable shipping rates and provide a terrific description. You will also need to list your shipping and payment policies clearly.

4. Buy in quantity. If you are in a position to do so, buy in large quantities and enjoy the discounted cost for bulk buyers. By purchasing large quantities of one item, you can save big bucks and pass those savings onto your customers. When you list an auction, sell at a fixed price and offer all of the items under one listing fee. For example, if you have 30 rings that you want to sell for $9.99, select the Fixed Price listing option. When prompted, enter a quantity of 30 and a price of $9.99. With this one auction, you have the potential to sell all 30 rings and only pay one listing fee. If you are selling the right product, and the right price to match, this method will work wonders.

5. Offer customer incentives. If your budget allows it, send your buyers a 10% off coupon with every order. Print off some coupons on your computer and let your customers know that they can apply them to their next purchase. This will entice them to return to your auctions and, the more bids that everyone sees on your items, the more appealing your products become.

6. When shipping your items, pay close attention to the presentation. If you are selling jewelry, purchase gift boxes in bulk and place one piece of jewelry per box. Place the jewelry inside of a small jewelry ziploc before fitting it inside the gift box. Your customers will appreciate having their jewelry delivered in a brand new gift box and, if it's a gift, it will be ready to present to the recipient.

7. Customer service is important. Answer questions promptly and always be courteous. Not every question will make sense, but be patient as new people sign up and try to adapt to online auctions. You may get questions about everything from how to bid and pay to questions about your product. Buyers will appreciate if you take the time to walk them through the process, especially if they are new. We all need a little help now and then.

8. As your business becomes more established, search for more wholesale and distributor companies to order from. The larger companies, which offer some of the lowest prices, also require a minimum order. This can be inconvenient when you're just getting started and have a tight budget, but if you have the cash to spare - check out some of the large wholesalers and take advantage of their minimum orders. Dollar for dollar, they have some of the best deals for the lowest prices, but you have to agree to buy a fair amount from them.

9. Be creative. If you have an idea that nobody else has tried yet, go for it. If you like autographs, turn it into a business. Take the autographs and turn them into a quilt by having quilt squares signed, sewing them together and presenting a rare autographed quilt. You are limited only by your own imagination.

10. The last and final tip to boosting your eBay business into a PowerSeller status is to stay positive. It takes awhile to get there, but you can make it. Becoming a serious presence on such a large auction site will take a lot of hard work, dedication and customer service skills. You must have patience and you cannot give up. There will be other businesses competing against you at every turn. If you sell for $9.99, someone else may offer a similar product for $8.99. But, don't worry - you will develop loyal customers and they will return to buy from you. A final thought - never tell anyone about your wholesale source. You may get questions asking you to disclose where you got the items, but don't reply. These are likely other sellers trying to find out where you got the great deals.

Turn your Hobby or Interest into Cash

Authored By Barry R Chambers

Making Money on line and off is an excellent easy way to use your time to become financially free.

There are various methods, many that you may know of but by far the most interesting and enjoyable, as well as being extremely profitable is to use your knowledge and create your own product.

The essential advantage of creating your own product and marketing it is that you keep all of the profit!

You can also offer an affiliate scheme to it and earn money from this without doing any of the marketing. You simple allow someone else to market and sell it whilst given them a commission on it. You sell it from your own site which they link to with an affiliate code. If you give a good enough commission, say 50% then this should inspire them to work their tails off to make it work! You simple sit back and collect the cash.

You can also offer resell rights to your product and cash in on this as well!

Digital products can be emailed to or downloaded remotely by your customer. However and here is an interesting fact,

"A LOT OF CUSTOMERS LIKE PHYSICAL PRODUCTS."

They like to receive a box that they open and find their ordered info product inside. We are all kids at heart and this satisfies one of our basic needs. It's like opening a present.

These can provide a greater profit margin though.

These are tapes, manuals, videos, CD's and DVD's.

The move is now towards the DVD's and CD's as tapes and videos are really old technology although you can still see these formats being sold.

These products have one disadvantage, if you can call it that.

They have to be shipped (posted), but you can charge the cost to them.
I do not believe this is a real problem as they can be drop shipped for you, where you supply a master copy to a 'Drop shipping' company and they copy and send it out for you. You have to pay for this service but it saves you the task. You can still ship yourself.

Other benefits in shipping Physical info products instead of digital are;

1.Your customers do not have problems downloading or opening it. This saves an email dialogue with for help to sort the problems out.

2.The customer does not lose the file on their computer

3.If sent by email the file doesn't disappear into the 'Spam' filter'. This causes more email correspondence with the customer as to whether the product was actually sent! This could question your credibility and if on eBay may result in the dreaded 'NEGATIVE FEEDBACK'.

4.They have a Physical product that they can review and watch whenever they want without having to switch on their computers.

5.They do not have to print off any manual using their printer and paper and ink.

6.The physical product is on view with your name and links on it.

THE INFORMATION PRODUCT

When people search the internet they are looking for information, often for free but they are willing to buy it! They may want to know how to catch more fish or they may want to know how to make jewellery for profit. There are almost infinite wants and YOU may have just the information they are searching for.

So how do you convey that information fully and more importantly, adequately to your audience? By DVD of course. Now you may ask HOW do I do this? Don't worry help is at hand. Take a peak at the possibilities here!

DVD's make excellent information products and you can produce them. This is potentially a huge market.

What if you have an unbelievable method of catching more fish or some amazing health or life style secret?
You should be sharing it with your fellow creatures, for a profit.

You do not have to be a genius to produce these.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO PRODUCE?

To get some ideas go and look in any major store that sell magazines. Look at the huge different specialist magazines. I will call all these specialist areas "NICHES." A "NICHE MARKET" exists for many, many hobbies. And you know what your own interests are. Can you use your specialist knowledge to inform others

In other words, "How 2 Do It?"

What's a niche magazine?

For uninitiated it's all of those magazines from home building, fishing, martial arts etc. etc.

There are too many different niches to list, and you can see some of them from the magazines on the shelves. You may have a hobby or interest that you can give information about and this information can provide you with an income. The best way is to provide this on a DVD that you can easily produce.

Lets be honest we are all lazy at heart and that's why we buy these info products or info magazines even though with the internet we could probably find the same information. What we cannot possibly find is the information that only an individual may know.
Use the information and tips you have to make you money.

There is an un-ending need for information. Look again at the magazine racks. Each magazine is produced every month, month in, month out. There must be a huge market to keep these magazines being published.
Everyone has some specialist area or knowledge they can use to produce their own niche or support and earn from an existing one.

What is the best format to send this information?

You can write about it in a book or report with pictures or it can be put on a CD or audio tape.

I would suggest that by far the best way is to show them on a video or the modern equivalent, a DVD.

Everyone likes to watch someone showing them how to do something. Just look at the many television programmes that show you how to cook, repair and renovate houses, restore cars etc. etc.

If you are able to produce your own information product related to one of the niches you have the opportunity to make money.

How much can I make?

Who can say what an individual can make, for any Niche area, but the prospects look good. Let's look at the possibilities and be very, very conservative.

You produce an information product on DVD. The DVD costs about 60 pence to copy. Now, let's say this is sold for £ 29.95. If you only sell 100 of these you will turnover £2995. Not bad for 100 sales. However with millions of people on line, who are potential customers.100 sales is not a lot.

Let's say you produce one DVD a month, and sell 100 of each, you could earn, well I let you do the maths.

DVD's are easy to produce. You need a digital camcorder and maybe some information from the experts on how best to do it.

The DVD does not have to be of Hollywood Studio quality.

Most people have a digital camcorder and the other equipment required will not cost a lot.

I hope you have enjoyed this article.

I will be providing additional articles where you can learn to make a difference to your lifestyle and income, by doing something exciting from your hobby and from something you enjoy. You never know, soon you may be giving up your day job, or making a good second income!
