Google and Blog Phenomena-The Right Tools for the Job

One of the most popular places to start your own blog is Google's Blogger,
http://www.blogger.com and Google provides all the tools you need to
make your blog a success. If you learn how to use these tools properly,
it's a lot easier and will make your blog stand out from the crowd.

1. Sign up for a free account at http://www.blogger.com

2. Write a brief introduction to your blog and tell what it's about.

3. Set up your profile and talk about YOU and who you are and
not just what business opportunity you're in.

4. Upload your picture. Try to use one that tells more about your
personality and not just a business type picture with you in a suit.
Don' t go overboard..in other words, no sticking out tongues or swim
suit modeling (unless you're a comedian or model).

5. Get a Google toolbar. Download the Google toolbar so that when
you find content that you want to add to your blog or want to link
to a favorite author, you can just click on the 'blog this' button and
write a little bit in the box and send the content to your Blogger page.

6. Get an account at Google Adsense and replace the "link here" in
your sidebar with your Google Adsense ads. When you go to your
member's area to edit your blog, you'll find a tab that says "template"
and you can edit the template for your blog. This is where you can
put in your Adsense Ad.

7. Get an rss reader. When you find content you want to subscribe to
and there's an orange rss or xml button on the page, simply click it
and copy the rss feed url from your address bar on the page with the
funny looking code. You can either paste the url into your rss reader
or you can use your My Yahoo Home page, or the same with MSN and
Google home pages.

8. Add new content to your blog and visit other people's blogs and comment on their articles, and when you do it will add your blogger link to their blog.

9. When people link back to you from their blogs and they make comments
on yours, you'll start to see even more traffic to your pages that are linked
inside your blogs as well. This is a totally viral concept and you will be amazed at how fast your rankings go up.
